I am trying to reach out to this witness. I have heard and aired accounts like this, where people talk about seeing a large man with a fur coat on.

A listener writes “My wife had two encounters near Swan lake, Montana in the early 90’s. She’d never heard of Bigfoot before and it wasn’t until she was telling me the story of how she ran into a huge man wearing a fur coat one summer night that I helped her figure out exactly what it could have been.

I’m sure she’d love to tell you her story.

Last summer my son and his two cousins decided to hike to a gravel pit along the flathead river at 11 o’clock at night…teenagers. Anyway, they came home and said they didn’t get 100 yards down the trail before something started throwing good sized rocks into the river. Every time a car would come to cross the bridge the boys would hide, and every time they hid in the bushes another rock would splash into the water by them. I thought they had over active imaginations so I went back with my son and my wife the next night. Sure enough, not long after being there when a car’s headlights would appear to cross over the bridge something would throw a rock in the water! It wasn’t the bank sloughing off into the river, I investigated that in the morning. These rocks were being thrown way out into the middle. Soon, my son and wife got too freaked out and we left.

I did manage to record the splashes but you can barely hear them.

On a separate note, I was wondering how many reports you get from this area. Montana is huge as you know with a low population, but you would think with all the outdoorsman we have there would be more sightings. Most seem to be from the great falls area in the 70’s.
