SC EP:200 The 200th Show Part One

Tonight the show starts off with my brother Woody who somehow got on the 200th show (Just joking he was invited) and he wanted to ask me some questions.

Next up is Bob Garrett who shares with us his first encounter when he was 16 years old. Bob has never shared this before on my show and it is a very interesting encounter. I also announce that Bob and his group will be bringing back their radio show The Big Thicket Watch right here on Sasquatch Chronicles. Look for their upcoming show.

Tomorrow night I welcome Bear, Coonbo and Matt from Bigfoot Outlaw Radio as well as many other guests. I also want to thank the listeners and past guest for making Sasquatch Chronicles what it is. Thank you guys!

Wow! Just finished listening… A really great show! I could listen to Bob tell stories all day long. And what fantastic news that the Big Thicket gang will be joining SC! Thanks sooooo much Wes!

  4. James D

The one tidbit that I was wondering about was something that Bob said about his grandfather telling him that they believed the bigfoots followed the Scotts from Scotland to the UIS? Did anybody else hear that or know anything about this?

  5. Frankie P

Great 200th celebration for the fans, and I hope for you! Thank you Bob Garrett, we enjoy hearing your stories, and Wes I’m so glad Woody joined you and us. Just a great episode.

  6. rob b

No surprise here–absolutely amazing show. Thanks for bringing real light to this subject in a professional manner. I think you have done more than anyone to advance this subject matter to the next level and make ordinary people realize this phenomenon is a real problem.

  7. Robert E

Thank you Wes for creating Sasquatch Chronicles. You are a natural and the show you produce is really top notch. Just want to tell you how much I enjoy listening and what a great job you do.

  8. Laura K

I could just sit at Mr. Garrett’s feet and listen for hours. The wisdom that we DON’T hear in these brief interviews boggles the mind…can’t thank you enough Wes and congrats on 200!!!!

  9. Anna K

I was always a believer and people think I’m crazy. Your show is therapy for those of us that believe. I have not had an encounter but I don’t wish to have one. Terrific show Wes and I hope you don’t quit and continue to provide those that had an encounter with an avenue to be able to finally recount their experiences!

Anticpation just about killed me all day long! Wes when you and Woody get together it is greatness! You guys know how to put on a show. Congratlations on the anniversary! Great show! Bob Garrett is such a class act. When visiting with Bob down in Texas I realized what a great man he is to Bigfoot research. I hope and pray that someday he gets the recognition he so deserves. You learn a lot from him just listening to him and I think that’s what I enjoy the most. Thanks again Wes for all you do for the public, from most of us, it is much appreciated!

  12. Gale R

Great 200th show part 1 Wes! I love to hear Bob Garrett tell his encounters and for him to share the wisdom he has learned. I’d love to hear some of the reports he’s taken too. Next- tomorrow night.. Coonbo and Bear and Matt and maybe Duke?? Love to listen to them.
Thanks so much. Wes. You are easy to talk to and very sincere. I remember when we were encouraging you and Woody to start the radio show on Facebook. I also remember the first time I heard you and Woody on Chuck Prahl’s Bigfoot Tonight show. My goodness how time flies. Thanks so much and Congratulations!

  13. Reed D

    Wes,
Cant thank you enough… that was great (as always).
Also, thanks Woody and Bob, always love hearing from you both.
A big congratulations on the 200th episode!!!
Hang in there and keep on charging forward!!
My very best regards to you Wes, along with Woody and Bob. God bless you and yours.

The Voice Of REASON ! BRAVO !
Changes ? You Mean Wes Buy’s the Beer NOW ?!? (……………… Only Joking )
THICK SKIN ! Yep , That is What You Need ! Just let the Negativity roll Off. ( Just what is Required in the Oil Field , from the Seismic end of it , To the Drilling of it ) All of them Who Complain , are Only Jealous. When I see them Talking Smack against Wes – I always ask ” Why do You talk about Your Uncle like that ? ” & then sit back & watch them Blow a Gasket ! ( I am good at Getting My Ass Beat ! But that Only Happened when I was Drinking ! & I Quit that in 2000. )
This Show has changed My Mind on What they are ! Or I was Listening to This when My Mind Changed. As I thought they were only just some kind of Monkey. I did know of the Native American View. How they were another ” Tribe ” of Human. But I almost Dismissed it as Native Americans Believe Everything is Real.
And Since I started Listening , I am beginning to see they are Right. ( Everything IS Real )

  15. Jay Carlsen

And I will Gladly Tribute the Pop Bottle Returnables too the Next 200 Shows ! ( The Children complain …… But all they ever Buy is Candy anyway ? So I am doing them a Favor. Right ? ) BRAVO ! 200 !!

Congratulations Wes! Thank you for producing a great website & show. Most importantly, I appreciate the kindness you extend to listeners and guests. Thanks for keepin’ it real.
    CHEERS!

  17. Linda G

Wow, 200 shows is amazing! I had no idea. Thank you Wes! I so look forward to hearing interviews on Sunday night. I love a mystery & this certainly is. Back in the 70’s I took a trip to San Francisco to hear people talk about Bigfoot. At that time I also got to look at plaster casts of foot prints. That opened the door to my interest. I asked Mike Rugg from the Santa Cruz area about who could have given the presentation, but he had no idea. That was over 40 years ago!

  18. pam

I could listen to you and Woody all day- and Bob? OMG….he never fails to leave us with awe inspiring tales! He is the real deal and I
am so impressed by his knowledge, every time. Learn as much as you can from him Wes; he’s a treasure.
Many thanks and well wishes on your 200th, man!

  19. Tara J

Awesome show Wes. I can’t wait for the big thicket show. I am a big fan of Bob Garrett just like I am of Wes and Bear and Coonbo. Y’all are such good ol’ boys, like a big family. Happy 200th fantastic show.

  20. Robin B

Awesome show! I haven’t ever heard Bob Garret and he is now my most favorite along with Wes and Woody. Thank you so much for putting the puzzle pieces back together in my head.
    Thank you for being here

  21. Paul M

30 shows to 200… just shows what you have done for the listeners. My compliments to the cook. Just love MR Bob. And his gang. Got a chance to meet BOB down in TX. With MO. TIM. WAYLEN. BOB’S son BRANDON.. VERY NICE People. O ya the T.REX Is Alive and well in the BIGTHICKET. Spooky. Your show has gave me a reason to be more careful in the woods. I’m lookin forward to many more of your shows in the future. Plus B.T.W. show Comming back. Awesome to hear. Thanks for keeping us informed. Paul m.

  22. Duke S

Wow, it was very interesting to hear Wes’ comments and to hear Bob say that he has the view of these things as basically being monsters or capable of acting that way. Have to say I agree, but the encounters I have had were pretty negative so it is no surprise, I guess. that I have that view! Thanks for including your soundscape and narration of the LeFleur story, it was fun to hear it again! Great first part of a classic episode, thanks Wes!

  23. Jeff R

Great job Wes. Exceeded expectations! As you know we all love you and what you do. Glad to hear the Big Thicket Watch will be joining up with SC. I knew your show was the real deal since the first time I heard it. Stay well brother

  24. BrokenMind27

Wes congratulations on the big 200. I am a member and began listening before the 200 started and I do some beginners research in central Mississippi. Just to let you know how much of an affect things can have on people – I lost my wife to divorce, my Dad passed away and I then lost my job last year. Well actually that all happened between July and September. It puts a lot on a man for those 3 things to happen with in 3 months. I went back and started listening to your episodes over again anytime I would get depressed or angry. The shows bring me back. I don’t know how else to say it. I just wanted you to know it’s more than a pod cast to some of us. Thanks for your hard work it is much appreciated.

  25. William O

Congrats Wes. I love SC so very much. I’ve been with you since the beginning. I couldn’t think of a better lineup for show 200!!!!! Well planned…. Here’s to 200 more!!!

  26. Gordon D

Whats the piont of going someplace to encounter Squatch hundreds of times to do nothing but leave if they appear ? To do research ? Lmbo ! Kill the dam thing if your that mesmerized by it ! Or Leave alone ! Going out over and over jut to have an emotional high is just mental masterbation , crap or get off the pot !

    • James (Waylon) Johnson

Glad you weren’t around to try and motivate Leaky, Goodall or Fossey Gordon. I don’t seem to recall them killing any of their subjects. You don’t learn about animal behavior from dead ones, dead ones don’t seem to do very much; they’re quite lazy in fact. On that note dead researchers tend not to provide much information at all. I personally have very little interest in killing one and I don’t particularly want to get myself into a position that would make that necessary. I doubt I would survive such a scenario anyhow.

  27. Ben H

Awesome show Wes, Woody, Bob and family. You really make me feel like I’m a part of what you guys are doing. As always much love for you and yours.

  28. SantiamLady

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? OMG!!!! I completely LOVED every second of this 200th Episode! ????????????????????????????????????????
Loved hearing from Woody again! ???????? Loved his interview of you, Wes! ???????????? And, of course, LOVED hearing more stories from Bob! ???????????? Bob is a National Treasure, as far as I’m concerned, and each time I hear from him, my respect for his vast knowledge of these creatures grows even more!
I’m sorry to hear you’re under the weather, Bob. ???? Feel better soon, man! Plenty fluids & rest, please, sir. That big Colorado Sas isn’t around to carry you to medical attention this time! ???????? So thrilled to hear about “The Big Thicket Watch Report” starting up! ????????????????. I can’t wait to get a steady diet of Bob’s years of wisdom on these creatures!
And I also can’t wait for Part 2 of this 200th Celebration! ???? Happy 200th, Wes! ???????????????????????????? You did it! ????????????????????????????????
Here’s to the next 200 Episodes of thrills and chills about monsters that are REAL! ????????????⛺️????

  29. Rod C

Wes, congrats on 200 shows and we always love hearing Bob G. What a humble guy. Salt of the Earth he is. I loved the ending story about Captain Le Flore with those great sound effects. Well done. Screen writhers, we need a movie made out of this story.

  30. Teresa V

Awesome show Wes!???? Loved hearing Woody introduce the show, and the question and answer section between you two. Hearing Bob Garrett tell about his first encounter was a real treat. His wisdom on the subject is just amazing.

  31. Reid D

Thanks for doing all of this Wes!! It is well worth it to be a member! Ive been here since it all started!! Wow!! Your the Man Wes! Bob and the fellas from my home state plus the one and only Woody!! Awesome Thanks.. Look forward to Bear and Coonbo!!

  32. Dave H

Congratulations on an excellent show, Wes, actually 200 excellent shows. I was a sceptic before I stumbled onto your show while Googling last year. Just listening to one show got me hooked, and had me completely terrified and amazed. I listened to all the old shows and then became a member to listen to all the new ones. It really is the craziest subject when you stumble into it cold, and yet you make it plausible, tangible, rational, and real.

Achieving 200 episodes is remarkable. Podcasting takes a huge amount of time behind the scenes, I know, I am currently working on my 100th episode of my podcast series. Your shows are always so slick and professional, and your friendly, relaxed, caring and empathetic presentation style coupled with your vast knowledge of the subject sets it way above anything else out there in this topic. It is fantastic to hear you’re getting Bob’s show going again and with your involvement the only way is up!

It was great to hear Woody back on the show, he’s such a laugh. And wow, finally we get to hear Bob’s long awaited first encounter. What a story it was! What year was that encounter? I find it fascinating Bob’s family knew about the booger/s, and so did his community. I wonder if the pig farmer fed the booger parents to his pigs, or are their bones waiting to be dug up?

All the best for many more episodes to come. Thanks for the hard work and sacrifices you make Wes. And thanks to all the previous contributors along the way too. Next time you’re out and see one of these giants, try to snatch his goose that lays the golden eggs!

  33. Carla P

wonder how many times Bob has been in a tight corner and had the words of his dad flash in his mind. Great show and really enjoyed hearing Bob’s first encounter story – Can’t wait for part two! You Rock Wes!!

  34. Pat T

Hey Wes, much thanks for all your doing to help those who’ve had encounters find a safe place to come on and share peacefully. Can’t believe it’s been 200 shows already! Always great to hear from Bob Garrett, and his Big Thickett show will add a lot to an already good show.

  35. Joyce E

A HUGE Thanks for a GREAT 200th show. Always a treat to hear Bob Garrett and super excited to hear Bob will be bringing “Big Thicket Watch” back, I hope this doesn’t mean Wes is quitting SC show? That would be very bad for the fans. I can’t imagine how time consuming these shows are, but there are a lot of us out here that truly appreciate all your work. THANKS so much AGAIN.

  36. Maynard w

So Coast to Coast does a Bigfoot show last night? Coincidence? How the BFRO is so great and everyone inthe bigfoot community is so willing to share their information. Listened to the start. Couldn’t go on. I’ll listen to it eventually I’m sure. Keep an open mind and all. But For now I’ll listen to 200 again. Thank you Wes, Woody and Bob.

  37. DonRay

Simply Perfect idea for your 200th,, Congrats Wes, Woody & guests……. I think your going in the right direction on The Big Thicket Show Wes.. Lookin forward to that… Great show….Ciao

  38. Rodney P

Great episode wes, woody, and Bob you guys are awesome like always, loved hearing about bobs very first encounter with the juvenile sasquatch following him. if that pig farmer shot his parents and he was all alone then sounds like he was trying to interact with Bob but really didn’t know how to go about it, wish Bob would have tried to interact with the juvenile sasquatch to see if he could but then again I guess if your looking at something you never seen before and your scared shitless your not going to think about it your just gonna run. Just wondering how many times a sasquatch might of tried to interact with us but we humans are just to scared because we’re looking at monsters basically but maybe that day will come now that we have great people like Bob and his crew and the outlaws going out and trying to interact with these things. Great show on my birthday can’t wait for part 2 thanks again wes for the time you put into sasquatch chronicles. 200+ more much enjoyed

  39. Amanda M

Wes and Woody’s brotherly banter is hilarious, congrats on 200! Been listening since the 40th, best show, changed my view of Sasquatch and I’ve learned more here than the 8 years I was studying Sasquatch before listening to the show.

  40. Chantelle W

Honestly, Wes is a genius for bringing Bob Garrett. Everyone on his show sound so honest and genuine (for the most part). I think this is why this show is so alluring, it gives credibility to the mystery. 200 is awesome but I pray it goes over 2000! It’s only a few bucks a month and even when I’m broke it’s still a cheap entertainment expense for the month, and it’s well worth it to support these guys.KEEP EM COMIN!!!

  41. MONTE M

Kick ass show ! Congratulations to Wes and Woody ,thank you .Congratulations to us the fans for supporting the show . Thanks to most the researchers who have contributed for their honest interest in the subject and search for clues , behaviors , pieces of documented history , stories etc. Thanks to the guests who have come forward to share their experiences. Thanks to the believers who have not seen but are smart enough to shirk the status quo ignorance of the larger world population of non believers ….we know something’s out there . We know monsters exist . Curse to the powers that cloak the truth , keeping innocent unknowing lives at risk of perishing without trace .

    • Jacqueline O

I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you just come across as bitter and angry. Bob is one of the most genuine, kind-hearted individuals you will meet, regardless if it’s sasquatch related. You think he and his colleagues profit from the expeditions? You must do a much thorough investigation! In actuality, they must exercise extreme caution to ensure the safety of the group, and you can not put a price on someone’s life.

I have been a silent observer, surreptitiously researching the subject for years, with skepticism yet open to the possibilities. When applying the scientific method, it would be wise to ask yourself, “Instead of proving the existence of sasquatch, it seems more logical to disprove it’s existence. . .in which case, one has not”. I have been VERY reluctant to comment on specific subjects, but I can no longer stay silent. I have a well-earned and reputable career in the biological sciences, specifically Human Evolutionary Biology with primary focus researching on the developmental, genetic, and biomechanical evolution underlying both human and non-human primate adaptations. Now, with that being said, there IS factual evidence supporting the presence of these primates. In addition, WES, I WAS SO PLEASED TO HEAR YOU REFER TO HUMANS AS PRIMATES! We are indeed! Actually we are considered the 5th Primate, or more specifically, the 3rd Chimpanzee. I may regret having opened my mouth, but I feel it is something that needed to be addressed.

I would also like to apologize on behalf of the scientific community, as many are too arrogant to consider what we refer to as “paranormality”. IN SCIENCE THERE IS NO PARANORMAL NOR NORMAL, AS SCIENCE, IN IT’S TRUE DEFINITION, EXPLAINS ALL. IT IS MAN WHO CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THE SCIENCE WHICH EXPLAINS ALL, NOR WILL WE EVER.

    !:)!Congratulations on your 200th show!:)!

    Wes?
    About those orbs-balls of light?
After Woody and you witness them,
when you return home, did you have strange, odd activity
    within your home?
Your first vibes about forest orbs/balls of light speaks volumes of truths.

    Brad C…(Orbs are not drones).

    Woody, I’m looking forward listening
to your new show… !:)! PITCH BLACK RADIO!:)!

    Get well soon Bob Garrett:)

  43. Lisa B

Been listening to S.C. for a while but recently became a member and catching up on some shows I’ve missed. I love this episode with Bob! I saw the torn up camp video when it was first posted on YouTube. Love the show Wes! Your compassion and the sound of your voice is what makes the show and keeps us all coming back for more. It’s all amazing…

  44. L S

Nice episode! I know it’s woaay after the fact, but I’m going to say it anyway, for whatever it’s worth. I never use to think this way until I realized how corrupt and what liars our gov is. It may be possible all the shooting, loud music, and loud vehicles going up and down a remote and restricted area and then suddenly disappearing was an “operation” intended to harm or kill Bob and his guys out there. If it was just a bunch of partying yoy-hoos it’s unlikely they would have suddenly left at sunset, and the random shooting is equally unlikely. That whole thing seems intentional to me and I’m glad they got out of there safely. Fthegov.

The ability to telepathically communicate doesn’t mean they are also wizards. I truly believe these creatures were tampered with around the same time all the genetically interfered hybrid creatures were way back at time before the flood. I think (complete theory here, I don’t have a time machine in my garage) these are reminants who migrated and rejected civilization completely. Refused to use tools build etc but they still have abilities remaining from their heritage. Some are more gentle than others but push come to shove they’ll serve you up with a tea towel. Prove me wrong 🙂 Great show.
