A Bigfoot Sighting Documented In The Library of Congress

YouTuber Bob Gymlan writes “This video is a little different from my usual content. It is an audio recording of an anonymous 17 year old male, from White Pine Tennessee, recorded in 1977.

In the mid 70s, the University of South Carolina endeavored to catalogue all American dialects. The point of the interview is just to get the study participant speaking so the dialect can be recorded, but this particular speech subject had recently witnessed a bigfoot, and he seemed eager to discuss the matter.

Only the first half is about bigfoot, but I left the rest in because I think it is fascinating and humbling to hear about life from the not too distant past–from the horses mouth, so to speak.”

Very nice find Mr. Gymlan. This witness is knowledgable. About 10 years before this my favorite cartoon of the mid 1960s was Johnny Quest. One episode was about the Komodo Dragons. In the end the owners Komodo Dragon ate him, of course he was a very very bad guy.

The head librarian for the library of congress was fired this week. It would be a shame if recordings like this are lost because someone does not understand the importance of the library’s mission.
