6-Year-Old Girl, Police Officer Encounter ‘Bigfoot’ in West Alabama

Ala. — A woman in West Alabama says her granddaughter and a police officer encountered an unidentified animal she believes could be Bigfoot.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News that the sighting took place on July 16 in her own backyard.

“I had my granddaughter over at my house. She was in the living room while I had to run down the road to get my mail,” she recounts. “When I came back, I went to clean the kitchen, it was around 2 in the evening.”

Reportedly, the girl then went to the kitchen looking for her grandmother.

“She had a very strange look on her face, I said ‘what is it baby?’, she said she had seen a “very tall and shinny black man” running through the back yard through the French doors. She was scared.”

According to the woman, the 6 year old described the man “as tall as the porch” — 8 feet– and that he didn’t have any clothes on him. She didn’t think it was a person because “there are not neighbors for miles”.

“Me and my husband have been hearing yells, screams, wood knocks and even had them climbing up on there porch roof knocking on our bedroom wall. We have also found footprints,” she said. “I knew right away it wasn’t a man, it wasn’t her imagination. I believe these creatures have been watching my children and us for quite some time. I am worried about my grandchildren, but they have never harmed anything. It is a little more worrisome now because they are coming out in plain daylight, it seems.”

But it looks like the ordeal didn’t finish that day. The Alabaman says that about 10 days later, she was trying to catch some sleep at 3 a.m. when she noticed a strange vehicle with its lights on parked on her property.

“It looked like the person in the car had some kind of light out the window shinning it on the house, around the yard. I came out but the car sped away. Later I called the Sheriff’s office to ask them to see if they could patrol this area more at night.”

It turns out her granddaughter was not the only one to spot the odd “creature”. She says that the next day, a County patrol car arrived to her property and a police officer came out.

“He introduced himself and said ‘I came by to tell you it was me that was pulled in your driveway last night. I was riding by and I saw something moving in your yard that had red glowing eyes. I stopped and turned around and pulled up in the drive and I saw something about 8 feet tall. Its eyes were red. What I saw was very real.’ He got a really good look at it. He said it shook him up really bad! He wouldn’t go into much detail but he said it shook him up really bad. He said he wouldn’t come back if I called and suggested to call the BFRO,” the woman said.

She believes the officer is afraid of being ridiculed about the sighting and that she knows this because she has experienced that problem first hand.

“An officer has been trained to be very of observant, to bring out every detail. I am sure he didn’t turn his blue lights on that night because he would have had to come on up in the driveway to tell me what he has seen, which would mean having to walk all the way to my door in the dark.”

The woman says that someone working at the police station told her the officer had not written a report but that he had been sending emails regarding the strange sighting.

“She was chuckling… I think they were already making fun of him,” she said.

Another reason to “Tell the People”. Somebody’s gonna get hurt when even the police start ignoring calls for help. And he told them to call the BFRO? What the heck is that about? Are they the new go-between for bigfeet=people=gov’t?

    • SantiamLady

????Maybe they thought BFRO Bobo could distract it with his bellowing “calls”! At least the Squatch might end up doubled over laughing its ass off for awhile! ???????? Or maybe BFRO Rene could make the Squatch go away by telling it she doesn’t believe it exists?

YOU SEE PEOPLE STILL LAUGH @ ME ALSO WAIT TILL IT TAKES A LITTLE ONE CAUSE IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME …WHY CANT THEY JUST SAY IT …DUMB STUPID…PEOPLE …SOMEBODY SHOT ONE.

Coming from a family of 3 officers I cannot see an officer saying” He wouldn’t come back if I called and suggested to call the BFRO,” . She would call dispatch he would have to respond to the call like it or not and I am guessing would light up the property staying in his car. BFRO I have a bias against Moneymakers group….He is paid not to find bigfoot but to show people how to shoo them away. She should get those outdoor booger lights , as for the policeman involved he is nervous because why???? Because he got to noticing it’s eyes it’s eyes were real evil and sinister knowing that that thing could rip his locked door from his car ,extract him from his vehicle and there isnt a damn thing he could do about it. Not to mention the dry humping to follow………………..

Hey, Dutch, that was hilarious! (I forgot about the “mad humping” that could possibly follow!). Maybe small town police depts. have been told to contact the BFRO if a BF report comes in. What if this creature grabs a child? This policeman is not going to respond? Sounds like a good place to go investigate… Sounds like the creatures are getting very bold and are working up to something.

I remember when I was an officer in Maryland ( a county officer) and my Lieutenant told us this story from back in the 70’s when he was a younger patrol officer.
He said that he was dispatched for an alarm call at a bar on a road called Back River Neck Rd. The bar at the time was closed , as it was later in the morning before sunrise. He told us the location of the bar, which had since been demolished. The bar was in a roadside clearing backed by some dense woods and woods across the street. (The area, even today, is mainly wooded but back then there were longer stretches of wooded areas.)
He said he and his back up pulled onto the lot at the front of the bar. The bar had no street lights or exterior lighting. They saw no signs of forced entry upon arrival, but heard noise like thumping to the rear of the location. He said they pulled out their weapons and had already had their flashights out, and went around to the back. He said once he got to the back of the bar where there was a rear entrance, he saw “a big hairy thing banging on the rear door”. He said his backup had apparently seen it too. He said once the ‘thing’ noticed them, it ran quickly off into the woods. He told us that they called for K9 and told the dispatcher that ‘ the guy ran into the woods behind the location. He said he was too embarrassed to tell dispatch that it was a ‘hairy thing’. He told us that when the K-9 unit arrived on scene, he advised the K9 officer that the ‘guy’ was beating on the back door, then upon observing them, ‘he’ ran off into the woods. He said the K9 guy took the German Shepherd to the back door to get a scent, but the dog acted odd and wouldn’t take the scent and track it. He said his back up and he agreed not to share the story. Being a believer, of course and that fact not being known to any of my fellow officers, I said “Are you just making this stuff up LT?” He looked straight at me and said, “No, June – I saw that thing, I have no idea to this day what the hell it was, but it was trying to break that door down and set off that silent alarm.” I asked him how tall it was and he said “bigger than me” ( this lieutenant was about 6’4″ ) he continued and said it was pretty strong looking and had a sort of human look to it’s face with scraggly hair all over it’s body and some on it’s head. He said it ran on two legs and as it ran, it’s arms almost dangled at it’s sides, not like a person, as we bend at the elbow in a typical running pose. He said the hair was dark.
I believe his story to this day. He was an easy going person to work for, not one to tell tales. He told this story at a ‘shift party’ ( a gathering of all shift officer that usually took place on the final day of our 1500-2300 rotation ( at the time, we rotated between all the shift hours on a weekly basis) if anything, with all my fellow officers who were male, telling this could have caused a lot of ridicule. ( I was the only female on shift at the time) no one made fun of him, not because he was our boss, but I think because he was a good, honest, no nonsense guy. Needless to say, I always got creeped out on B&E (breaking and entering), alarm and suspicious subject calls down in that area!!!

Imo.if it bangs on a door or climbs on your roof to knock on your bedroom wall…..and it ain’t a person. …shooooooot to kill. With massive firepower of course!

West Alabama is full of sightings. If I had to guess, this probably happened near the Warrior River area. There have been numerous reported sightings, and a huge number that have just not been reported out of fear of ridicule.
Alabama has a huge population of deer and other smaller mammals as a food source. In fact, the whole state is really overpopulated with white- tailed deer. There is also other food sources, in the form of plant matter, berries, fruit, etc.
Many hunters have encountered things they can’t or simply do not want to explain. With people now encroaching on what has been great habitat, more people sightings seem to be reported.

What the HECK is the BRFO gonna do!?!!! Poor family, that would only incur more problems than solutions when they come out there and start howling like they think they can call to a Sasquatch, and they’re too dumb to know the difference. Calling the BFRO to antagonize these creatures would be the biggest mistake. It’s sad but if it were my family there would be a for sale sign in the yard and we would be long gone. I wouldn’t risk my children on a whim ( ” well they haven’t hurt anyone…YET”). My kids come first in everything and if some unknown 8ft tall humanoid red eyed creature is attracted to my kids or making any problems for that matter it’s time to leave because there is no one to call for help. Your on your own and its sad to type this but no one is going to live on your property and protect you from these things. Especially while they ( gov., police ext..) are trying to cover it up and look the other way. Sooooo sad! Again, if it were me it wouldn’t have taken a sighting for me to pack my family up and get out of there. Why wait for something to happen when there is no one to hear your cries!

I cannot speak for the police, but have many family in the forces, so what I will say, as an ex Juicer, is that it’s not the shear unbelievable mass and size of the creatures that worries me. When people speak of their encounters. I first and foremost think of their massive scale rages, the pure adrenaline, testosterone fueled rages, three four six rounds of 357magnum isn’t **** for stopping power, across a lawn when those creatures become enraged, I doubt that they even know they’ve been hit. And yes Rages are that damn blinding and bad ass both. So in not shooting one means you get to live another day; you! Get to go home to your families. It’s going to take two kinds of men or women to kill one, a person that can severer all of their conscience all of their fear. Or a Psychopath that can that has no conscience that can burn down their own family damn fast and hard, and that don’t give a **** about tomorrow, or you… it’s going to be a suicide mission and everyone on the force knows this. It’s the common bloggers screaming tax dollars and welding his gripped hard TV remotes that do not understand of just how deadly these encounters can be / are. When I have raged it scares the **** out me after I had shut it down and looked at all the wide eyed bystanders and witnesses. How much more in strength does a ten foot giant have + rage rushed adrenaline and testosterone. No one here or out in the government and police forces are going to dare admit the situations pertaining to those creatures and their encounters / attacks upon livestock and the populace are out of control and that’s by far an understatement. I have no right to bad mouth the cops because that means I have to know I could take on the creatures, and I can’t. There are too damn many of them of various types, sizes and mindsets, and they are born apex bad ass predators. shut up and kiss your families goodbye and pull on your boots and get to it, if you think your capable. I have now read of two biker gangs that those creatures have taken head shots at with boulders and ran the hell out. I am not creature capable unless faced with no alternative. (This is now where the pencil neck screeches: ‘But that’s their Jobs!) I do believe a man and a woman with a holstered firearm or not, has the right to decide not to leap head first into the snow blower. Bottom line is that its suicide anyway you cut it…

Love this comment. I don’t comment much because most of talk are from people who believe in a good defense, a theory and what if’s. Also I don’t care if someone hunted all their lives but were never hunted. A cop with a handgun or even a shotgun will just get dead real fast. Even if there are a few cops on the set they will shit when something that only exists in movies goes off on them. I have stated before to deal with these things you need to shitcan your bolt actions and get magazine fed rifles preferably 308’s. I don’t care how good you are with your 44, 45 of 357 these things are real, fearless and NOT ALONE. I don’t say hunt them because they are the real hunters cut and dry but if they are interfering with someone’s life situation you need to be on the offense but you will need numerous rifleman and expect to loose a friend or 2 that day. I personally would not like to see one or infringe on its space but if I was constantly being harassed I would need organized experienced sober help. Thanks for the comment Papa Yeti. Semper Fi

the BFRO could come into the area, scream (sort of )loud noises, and March 50 people , like in the show , and effectively run every creature within 5 miles , 5 miles further away.
