1945, Minnesota: Man Disappears Hunting Sasquatch

download (14)After several weeks where dogs went missing, trash bins ransacked, and other strange happenings in Kabetogama, John Simon declared that the township had been invaded by a Sasquatch. As evidence he produced several plaster casts of large apelike foot impressions, a tangle of brownish yellow hair, and photographs of powerful claw marks.

When Simon packed up enough camping supplies to last him several months, announced he was off to track the Sasquatch, no one paid much attention either. Simon was gone over six months before his friends and relations started to worry. A search party was organized. They scoured the State Forest for months. The State Police even got involved for a few weeks, organizing hundreds of volunteers but no trace was ever found of John Simon but people did notice the strange doings stopped just after he left to hunt the Bigfoot.

Claw marks, Considering he found ape-like footprints? I know where this is, still desolate wilderness there, I would guess Wendigo got him. Clearly, this seems not to be the original report, since it is quite unlikely anyone in Minnesota would have known the name “Sasquatch” in 1945. Probably called it a Wildman or Hobgoblin or something, lol!

Duke, I noticed the term Sasquatch as well. Not sure that name was very well known in ’45. He probably did use a term like wildman… If he had been down south, he would have probably called it a “booger”!

Poor guy, he probably found the the creature shot it, then got taken out by the other one (always two) problem solved no more problems in
    Kabetogama…

I noticed on a Detailed map that there is a lake called Beast Lake on the MN / Ontario border . Makes you wonder why it was named Beast Lake ? This township is in the sticks like all of Northern MN .

Most likely with all Sasquatch it is not hard for them to remain hidden and unseen . They do not need to try to hide because out in the sticks your hidden just being there . Random people live there and in the summer there is more people out in the forests but all year round for the most part it is just empty silent Wilderness . They just want to be left alone .
