Plucked deer, not too weird if you know that the ground is dry so it doesn’t completely degrade the hair. A combination of animals like badgers scavenger birds and insects will completely clean up a carcass including the bones and hide. Perhaps a case of seeing Sasquatch evidence everywhere.
