World Bigfoot Radio Returns

You guys and gals remember Duke, he is one of my favorite guests. Duke sent me a message last night saying “Our guest is one of the presenters at the upcoming International Bigfoot Conference #1, and will also be at Big Sky Bigfoot Conference #2 here in Montana. She has been researching Bigfoot for 23 years now and joins us to talk about her many experiences!”

We had a serious time lag between when the guest was speaking and when they would actually be heard by me. I was trying to make comments after she had taken a break, but again, by the time she heard it she was already talking again. sorry the show had this issue.

No, worries, Duke! I am sure many of us have been on skype, etc and have experienced the same frustration with the dreaded time lag. We have been spoiled but can remember the early SC episodes when technical factors were an issue (or maybe it was just Will’s hearing aid feedback). Thanks for the great show, as always…

That Band is called SWAMP RITUAL, a Stoner/Doom metal band, they are very graciously letting us use their THEME SONG for our intro, and for a while at least, extro music. Their drummer appeared on episode #1 and chatted for a few minutes about their mini-tour of the northwest that they just finished. Great live band, they have a full length CD out, and are just a 2 piece band, drummer and bass, no guitarist. They do an amazing cover of Motorhead’s “Ace of spades” also! Swamp Ritual Has a facebook page you can check out if you want. Thanks for listening!

Thank you Duke! I really enjoyed the show! Back in the day, findng information regarding sasquatch was difficult for everyone, particularly children. Every time you guys bring this up I think of the library scene from “Harry and the Hendersons”…when the eccentric John Lithgow (George) visits the local library to find what little information was available:

“May I help you?”, the librarian asks,
“Yes, I’m on my lunch break, and I’m kinda in a hurry, could you point me to some books…on the…a…bigfoot?”, whispers George, embarrassed and uncomfortable,
“Sasquatch?!?!”, she questions in a confused and perplexed state, thinking this man must be crazy,
    “Sasquatch…”, George hesitantly replies,
As if stunned that someone would ask for something so unexpected or unusual, she reluctantly confirms, “…Sasquatch…”,
“That’s the one!”, he says in an excited yet hushed tone,
Having worked several years at the library now, she states in a systematic, methodical voice, “Fantasy, folklore, myths, and legends…basement stacks, take the stairs.”, and then with a roll of the eyes loudly shouting in a sarcastic manner, “You could also try childrens’ books!!!”
The eye’s of others, now aware of the conversation, watch the now humiliated George as he heads toward the staircase.

Thank goodness we have accomplished so much in the 25 years since the release of this movie! I can’t help but imagine our society’s acceptance and knowledge of these creatures in the next 25 years!

Sorry you didn’t make it further, Misty had some really great encounter stories. There is a learning curve that goes along with this, and we don’t have a budget to be able to afford top line software and equipment, so we are doing the best we can as we go. We have figured out the cause of the problem, and hopefully eliminated it, so it won’t be an issue for upcoming episodes. Very sorry you found it annoying, I am personally bugged when this happens on shows that I have listened to so I totally understand! Thanks for giving it a try anyway and check out episode #4 which will be time-lag free! 🙂

I had another researcher today tell me he got a report from someone of a 13.5 ft hairy monster, he thinks it may be an MG sighting and will be referring them to me, so we may have a guest on to talk about it if I can get them to do it! Cross your fingers….

Great show. I’m sure you’ll figure out the technicals. When i started college radio it took me a minute to get used to the three second delay in my headphones. Its different now but you will adapt to the tech. You guys did a good job. Thanks. Great encounters Misty. Cant wait for the next show.
