What I saw that night, changed my perspective forever

A listener writes “I am a 52yr old man living in west Texas. I have been a truck driver for almost 16yrs. I started out,,doing law enforcement type work, before, switching over to truck driving. In December of 2014, I was doing vacuum truck work in the oilfield of west Texas.

I was hauling drill water, from one location to another. One particular night, at approximately 3am, I was hauling water, from one location to another, north of a small town in west Texas, called Big Spring Tx. I had, just finished unloading, and was driving in my 18 wheeler, on an old farm to market road, traveling back to possibly pick up another load. It was very dark and very cold out.

As I was approaching along curve, in the farm to market road, there was a, large pasture off to my right side of the road, that butted up against a tree line. As I was traveling along this curve, in the road, I had no choice, but to slow down, while traveling along this curve. As I was coming around the bend, I noticed something moving towards me, traveling at an angle diagonally towards me, from the tree line, coming towards me across that pasture. There was a fence line, that separated the pasture from the main road, that I was traveling on.

From what I remember, I believe it was a barbed wire fence. The figure I saw, from my peripheral vision, angling across that field towards me, was a black colored figure, running towards me on all fours. I remember being confused, and kinda thinking nothing of it, because I thought it may have been a horse or a cow, because there are farms and ranches out in that area. But, what I saw that night, changed my perspective forever.

As that figure drew closer to that fence line, I saw it transition from four legs, to running on two legs. There was enough moonlight out that night, that I could make out black fur, tall pointed ears on top of its head, and a long snout or muzzle, with the outline of broad shoulders. I couldn’t see the hands, legs, or eyes that we’ll, because of the darkness, but I saw everything I ever wanted to see. Thankfully I started to come into a straight away on that road, and was picking up speed and was getting away from that area.

I remember the distinct fear, I felt that night, a fear, I cannot describe. A what was that fear!! I remember continously looking ot both of my windows and mirrors, to make sure that thing, wasn’t following me out on that road. I remember being so frightened, that I didn’t finish out my shift that night. What I saw that night, was not supposed to exist. I have hunted, and fished, since a boy, and can tell you, that that thing was every bit of seven to eight feet tall, and every bit of six hundred pounds. I believe in the Bible, and I truly think these creatures are remnants of the nephilem and will be the beasts of the field, as described in the book of revelation. Just my opinion.. cryptids will be prevalent in the last days. I struggled with ever telling this encounter, but have decided to, because of my faith and because people need to know. I have since that encounter, have found some tracks that cannot be identified. I will attach those photos in this email. Some, I have put my size 11 boot next to, for scale.”

Exactly! That part of west Texas is, environment-wise, the polar opposite of the highly squatchy Piney Woods or Big Thicket of east Texas. But a lot of strange stuff happens out there on those dusty plains!
