Watch: Ocheesee Pond Wild Man

Was a bigfoot captured in the swamps of Florida during the 19th century? According to the sotry of the Ocheesee Pond Wildman, it may have very well happened. This is one of the best bigfoot stories from the history of Florida.

    Hmmmm. Interesting. ????????

However, given the size and strength of a Sasquatch, I don’t think any one could capture one that easily, not even a half-starved one, or mistake for a “mental patient”, or ship it across the Country, or lock it up in a “insane asylum” for 2 years, where it lived and eventually died. ????

Sadly, this story sounds like a mentally ill man living out in the swamps. The amount of body hair was most likely exaggerated. If those men had encountered an actual Swamp Ape, I think they would have called it a monster and shot at it, not have it committed to a Mental Hospital.

There are Swamp Apes in Florida, but I don’t think this was one of them.

Thanks for the story tho, Wes! ????????

IF BIGFOOT IS CLASSIFIED A PRIMATE THEY MUST HAVE SOME OF THE SAME GENETIC DEFECTS THAT WE HAVE. MAYBE THE ANIMAL HAD A TYPE OF DOWN SYNDROME OR SOME OTHER TYPE OF MENTAL ILLNESS. MOST WILD ANIMALS DISCARD THEIR HANDICAP. THIS BIGFOOT WOULD BE EASY PICK’INS. MAYBE OLD? WE KNOW HOW T0 KICK OUR OWN OUT OF OUR FAMILY GROUPS!

They never say anything about the size of him and I’ve never heard a story of a BF being captured so easily. I think it was just a deranged guy that lived in the woods that scared the locals so they snatched him up and sent him away.

Well the story states that this creatures descendants still are seen in the pond. Let’s take a road trip because I believe it! 🙂 I mean seriously there are so many different kinds of the same animals…dogs, cats, rabbits, dragonflies, etc..the list goes on, who is to say that this isn’t still on the primate line? People back then weren’t like we are today, they don’t go around hoaxing things and this thing was covered in hair and couldn’t speak, didn’t belong to any hospital and the poor thing died only 2 years later. I wonder where the research papers went to? I’d love to read them.

If the Ocheese Pond Wild Man was a mentally ill human as some are led to believe what does that say about Bigfoot today? Why doesn’t mainstream science confirm it and appropriate necessary remedial counseling and care to hairy behemoths wandering all over the place?

From California to Indiana and New York people of that had proven themselves resourceful and committed, dealing with matters that affected their lives on a local level.

If you believe they have never been caught or captured here a few starting points that claim otherwise.:
