Watch: Les Stroud’s Survivorman Bigfoot Presentation

This is a video of Les Stroud’s Q&A during his Survivorman Bigfoot presentation that took place April 8th in Portacello, Idaho. Les Stroud traveled to Pocatello, Idaho to present some of his findings of Bigfoot to Jeff Meldrum PhD, and to also have a question & answer session with the local fans and Bigfoot believers. This is the recordings of the Q&A session. If the video below does not play click here. You will need headphones, the audio quality of this video isn’t the greatest but I wanted to post it because everyone loves Les Stroud.

I have always liked Les Stroud and still do but recently his partner Todd Standing has come under ridicule by the community, I still need to see what people are talking about to decide if it is just more cannibalism from within the community ,it seems everyone who makes a dollar in the Sasquatch world comes under heavy fire for some reason.

I met Les, and got my picture taken with him at the Sasquatch Summit in Ocean Shores WA in Nov. What a nice man. I asked him if he thought there could be a government cover up on bigfoot, he really didn’t say yes, or no. He did say that he wouldn’t doubt it. He built a house that was off the grid, and I asked him about it after the show. He said that his ex got it all in the divorce! After all the time and money he spent on it, and now it’s gone. He has a great video of him building it.

He actually already went to east Texas. That episode aired last week as a matter of fact. I like Les Stroud a lot, he’s not exactly a believer but he’s not exactly a skeptic either. He’s just trying to figure out the truth and trying to find some answers for some rather strange experiences he’s had himself. N he might have gone on some expeditions with Todd Standing but I wouldn’t exactly call them partners tho. As a matter on some of those trips he’s been on with Todd he’s said that Todd is very quick to jump on every sound, every tree break n every vague looking footprints in the ground is automatically sasquatch. I think everyone can agree that Todd Standing is a complete joke. In this field you could of had a hundred genuine legitimate encounters with sasquatch n have pulled one hoax, to the rest of us in this field you are now considered a hoaxer in the same category as Ray Wallace, Rick Dyer n Bob Titmus. That’s the way it goes. But honestly I believe that Les Stroud will eventually find the answers he’s looking for, it’s just a matter of time

Doesn’t really seem as if Todd is Les Stroud’s “partner” in his bigfoot series per se. Todd is more of the loony, over-ambitious child who either is a really good actor or actually believes that EVERYTHING is a sign of bigfoot. I really enjoyed the more recent episodes, think there were 6. Seems like he’s trying to get all the different perspectives out there, which is good because shows like finding bigfoot only show one cooky, harry and the henderson’s, sasquatch is a fun-loving child watching creature who only wants hugs if you can howl loud enough to attract one.

I have liked less for his survival shows on tv. Takes some balls to do what he has done. Alone in the most harsh conditions ya can find. I’m also glad he don’t just jump on every twigsnap. He seems to have something we like and find interesting in him and ourselves. for me I would like to see him stay longer in the hotspots he visites. I wish him well in his indevers. He could hook up with more people in the know. Leave the pretenders behind.

It is my understanding that Les is getting his own Bigfoot Show green lighted now (if not already in production). That was the purpose of these initial episodes, to sell his 2-part, then 6-part “pilots” to the networks. He’s proven to at least one of them that the demand is there. The show will be called “Hidden Bigfoot”. I had more particulars but I can’t recall them right now. And I may be wrong. Someone needs to tell him to stay more than one night in a location though! 🙂 He’s mentioned that at least one special forces acquaintance has verified to him the government’s knowledge of these beings. He does something that I haven’t seen anyone else do, and it’s primarily due to the nature of his cinematography requirements (i.e. one, long video selfie): he records behind him. I’ve said it for a while, if you want to capture something, record from all angles. Get two or three GoPros and strap them to a helmet aimed in different directions. Do the same with dash cams if you drive in Sasquatch territory. They’ll wait until you pass and then cross the road.

Well said Tyler, I can appreciate what Les is doing by riding the fence on this subject and in fact calling out his Canadian brethren for his controversial behavior regarding his so
called “encounters”. Hopefully with the hard effort Les is putting into this production he will stumble on some real proof that BF does indeed exist. In the meantime I hope he does continue producing more of these compelling shows and that ratings would verify the appetite people have for them. Wes, I hope Les would come on your show if that is possible, the man has a huge fan base and we’d love to hear from him.

Yeah, I think the person who told me about the “Hidden Bigfoot” show may have been reading a description for the current episodes, so I’m going to go ahead and retract what I wrote two posts up on that one. Maybe they’re correct, but I shouldn’t really post without having my own first-hand knowledge. I hope it’s true. Guess we’ll find out.
