Hey Wes. Just want to say I really love your show and listen to it every week. I was listening to this last Sunday’s show about the guy who repelled into the box canyon and was hiking through when something started to make a very loud banging noise. This got my attention because of a video I took this last fall. I live and work in a area of Colorado that is vary well let’s just say expensive. It is up near Aspen co. I was working in a private ranch that borders national Forrest. There are quite a few vary large private homes and they all have a lot of land they sit on. Well I had just pulled up to a house and got out of my work truck when I herd some vary loud banging noises coming from the side of the house that borders the Forrest. So I stopped and listened and it happened again. Always in a single then three pattern. So I took my phone out and captured some of it on video.
I could also here muffled sounding voices along with it and couldn’t make out what was being said but sadly the video doesn’t capture it. I couldn’t film for long because the home owner was there and I was on the clock. The noises lasted for about twenty minutes and would go in about two minute breaks in between. And I had to cut the video down to one section of banging so I could send it. The file was to big to send over my wireless network. I know there are no trails or houses back in that area only wilderness for many many miles. Any way just thought you would appreciate the video. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Sounds like banging on a hollow log. Could be trying to get an animal to come out!

Robert and David, I agree with you. It does sound woody doesn’t it. I wonder what exactly they are doing or conveying to other squatches when they do that? Like on finding bigfoot when they bang on trees how do they know what it means? I’ve heard people tell that they have seen well worn pieces of log leaned up against a tree as to be ready to knock whenever they need to. I could mean I’m here, come any closer and I’ll smash you with this club???? I highly doubt it but what do I know!? All the best to all of you
