Update: “Wes, There have been comments after you posted the video asking for photos for scale. Can you please update the post to include these photos for scale? I think your audience might appreciate them.
BTW, I carefully measured the rod as it layers from toe tip to back of heal at just under 40 inches….definitely not a human stride.”

Original post:
A listener writes “Hey Wes, Just a quick note to say that while fishing off a river bank on the Trinity River, I noticed some unusual footprints in so much the strides were approximately 40 inches apart and deep in the Texas mud. Walking in Texas mud is difficult on the best of conditions and folks from around here know what I mean.
Granted, other folks have walked barefooted in this area, but their footprints serve to show why these stood out in particular.
The area is adjacent to the Big Thicket and protected Sam Houston National Forest.
Thoughts? Notice the last footprint in the video.”

A form of reference would be nice,IE a tape measure, a pack of cigs, ink pen, ball cap, something.VERY COMPELLING though.

A scale would be nice… Notice the waterline after the last track. Most likely those tracks were made submerged or very recently after the water receded, as there is no easily discernable tracks past the waterline.

Good point Steve…

It would of been nice if they would of done a close up too! It’s just too short of a video, because there’s more prints of something else.
