I have a great show coming up for the members. When the witness originally sent me the photos I did not see anything. I was able to reach out to the witness and as he was telling me his encounter I went back and started looking at the photos again. He said “I saw these two creatures to the left and you see the girls on the right walking down the trail. I thought I was on a movie set or something…I was about 300 yards away from them, I thought they were going to kill me so I took the photo and tossed my phone off trail in hopes someone would find it.” The whole encounter is fascinating and the witness has a lot of details.
Here is the original email.
I am a former Marine and a former Wayne County ( Detroit, Mi) Deputy. I am now a long haul fuel hauler. I was at a location out west and had to take my mandatory 34 hour reset. I love the outdoors, being an avid hunter since the age of 8. And also being an infantry marine which gave me an even more profound zest for the bush. So I had decided to take a day hike and explore the great outdoors.
As I was around 4 hours into my hike I had noticed a tree to my front left that had reminded me of a sniper nest with obvious observation holes looking out onto the hiking path. I thought maybe a cougars lair. So I decided to set and take a water break and change my socks. That’s when I seen the creature climb down from the tree. There were two females approximately 1000 yards ahead of me on the trail. And I was certain that the creature was going to pursue them. Then the creature was joined by a second cryptoid. And they were creeping in the direction of the women. I was unarmed so the only thing I could do was try to drawl the creatures to me and give the women a chance to escape.
I jumped up and screamed at the top of my lungs and was pumping my arms. Not only did that stop the creatures advance on the women but it also startled the women who thought I was trying to get there attention. They thought I was in distress so they started walking towards me. I thought this would surely be the end if not only for me but them as well. So I thought to call 911 to tell them what was inevitably about to occur. But I had no service. But I immediately snapped a picture of the two creatures and got a great photo of both including their faces. Thank goodness they took off running in the opposite direction. When the women got to me and ask me what was wrong I showed them the photo and told them I believe the monsters were going to attack them. Needless to say I escorted the ladies back to their vehicle which took 3 hours to get back. The women wanted no part of me reporting what had transpired and said we wouldn’t be believed even with my picture. They sped off and my journey ended as well. I took what the had said to heart so I didn’t report it either.

Wes you been holding out but this is going to be a great show probably one of your best. And the best part is the Cryptid are there , the women are there , and the photos don’t lie. I bet this guy was visited by the government clown duo and informed him that though were really bears that escaped from government special forces training.

Unlike most pics, these 2 creatures are easy to see….one closest to camera looks like a gorilla for sure. The second one looks like a dog/kangaroo the way its bent over…?

I can see 2 figures standing on other side of the sandy path about 1/3 of the way from the right edge in the first photo just below the center line. However, the blow ups are too far to the left in my opinion. I can’t see what I am seeing the first photo.

This is a scary story and just when I was about to convince myself to go back out and hike. That camouflage ability has me spooked too because now I am wondering how many times I may have just walked right past and didn’t even realize. ?

Cannot wait to hear this story and I just keep coming back to those pics. I thought of something…I guess when you showed the ladies the pics they had one heck of a reaction because it occurred to me…you said the creatures walked off in the opposite direction so they got to see in real time the pics you just took and see that spot with no creatures. Now that would have FREAKED me out. Do you have pics of the spot with no creatures or maybe you never thought about it? I would have been so spooked I probably would have been blubbering my own name, either in your spot or theirs. This has to be in my top five of scariest stories if not the scariest. Great big kudos to you for trying to protect them.

I can understand if you don’t want to reveal the exact location in California (?) If it is CA, can you tell me the general area? As an Alaskan born there and often visit my kids and grandkids there, and take them out, and with all the restrictions of ability to Carry, unlike here in Alaska, the only way I can protect anyone is with Bear Spray, and my own intuition and gut. Apparently as a Marine, who has a sensitive ability to feel danger, this did not happen to you? Jungle warfare is different than desert, I can imagine. (New Jersey) Well, we are always asking for photos, now we have some. Judging by the comments, they are not crystal clear, and are open to different interpretations. I, for one, see two creatures side by side , in the middle of the photo . This is the third photo down. I really have trouble seeing the girls. The word ” cloaking” has several definitions. In the Bigfoot world, it refers to the ability to hide oneself. Whether cloaking or simply camoflauge, it’s extremely important to the survival all kinds of animals or insects in the wild. These pictures and the comments prove this. Now, what are these creature? I’m not sure, but if the witness had a better camera with zoom capabilities, we might know.

Girls are separate from each other already on their way toward Rick further down the trail…first one on the right of the trail the other further down on the left of the trail both looking in Rick’s direction.
If one can’t picture stances of mammals or primates (or DNA’d human) it would be difficult to spot, they blend in very well. The BF is looking directly at Rick, the other creature does not know what to do, conflicted whether to run or stay, waiting for the BF to decide, facing it.

At first thought Awesome pic!!! But more I look at it, I don’t think it’s anything. Follow fallen tree and it lines up with lighter shades on “face”. Thing to do is to go back to location and take another pic. Just my two cents.

Are we looking in the same spot? The fallen tree is behind what I am looking at and not in any way lined up with the creature. Just wondering….maybe I am looking at the wrong thing but I don’t think so. That is the one that really “popped” out at me. I have a feeling everyone is not looking at the same spot. I am on an iPad….also wondering if different screens make it harder. I pulled it up on my phone and it isn’t quite as clear for instance.

(New Jersey) It’s interesting that different people see different things, but that’s usually the case with most Bigfoot photos. I’ve now seen the photos at different times of the day/night under different lighting. To again throw in my two cents, I would say this. In the second and third photos, I see one large creature in a crouching stance. He/she is basically in the center of the photo. I can’t make out what is to his right( looking at the photo), Again, looking at the photo, above his head and to his left is a clump of three-four trees. I hope that’s helpful to someone.

I’m seeing, I think, the same thing you are seeing. The one almost in center is pretty clear to me, the one to it’s right is more blurry. I am not seeing some of the detail others are seeing. For instance a distinction between canine like and ape like. Or position of legs. However, once I saw them it became impossible to look at the pic and not see them. Kinda like when you look for a certain letter hidden in a page of some other letter, you know those puzzles? Once you find the letter it is impossible not to see it. I wonder if seeing them on a computer screen would make it clearer? I cannot wait to hear this encounter.
In first pic I can see the girls pretty clearly….just throwing that in there. 🙂

I was also a little shocked that it was two females that were coming down to follow the ladies. Maybe I shouldn’t be. It’s just we don’t have many eye witness accounts of them trying to sneak up on someone. Hopefully they were just going to follow them but I have a feeling that Rick’s gut was probably right. ?

1/ the two people in the photo are not a 1000 yards ahead
2 / I think after looking at these photo’s ,i think we are looking at a mother bear with her head down and her cub . The legs and stance of the animal suggest bear . Secondly the distance to the animals is much closer , i would say not much more than 30 yards , which if the animals where as big as stated they would be much larger . Lighten the image background and they simply pop out and you will clearly see bears . Well thats my thoughts feel free to disagree

The second one, is that stance what people are talking about when they say it looked like a giant spider? I can clearly see it’s almost in a square shaped stance. Like a box!! Gosh, if I saw that in person, I would never be the same!!

He stated that he tries to play down the Marine part and also that he really shouldn’t say former. He’s humble…states he uses former Police officer mostly to make things go smoother in the world.
I see a BF that often takes the stance on all fours as has been stated on a lot of encounters and some videos I have seen. The one video, if others remember, of the kids being coached by an adult, practicing shooting and the BF in the background? do others remember that one? The mom was video-taping it. When the kiddo shot the shotgun, the BF bolted. After the BF settled down to watch the people from next to a bush, it was on all 4’s after running bi-pedal and if you watch, it edges toward the bush to its Left rotating on all 4’s while fascinated with the family and also trying to get under cover. The shotgun blast was not expected after listening to the smaller gunfire from the kids. So in that video, it looks exactly like the one in this shot…squared up looking forward.
Don’t ask me what the long-muzzle thingy is doing with it…perhaps a young’un in training with a lot of bushy hair around its face popping out, making it look like a muzzle? ? The young are skinny and not bulky so it could be that; or the government is involved with working/training these things together…..or they just paired up to make hunting easier like lots of strange animals that have a commensual relationship that works, like us using dogs or cormorants to get food…..

Looking at the pic again, the second creature has a rounded back like a canine. BF have a perfectly flat back when they are on all 4’s. I think its some sort of predatory canine thingy.

That’s the part that keeps me out of the bush alone.
They are capable of standing right next to you and you don’t even know it whenever they want to.
I know what they are capable of and from eyewitness reports of body parts in trees (human) or in bone yards, and that one guy in the Pacific NW (WA?/OR?) that went camping and never came back and the wife called for help in going to check on him and they found the camp shredded, his rifle, the spot he was attacked with a lotta blood, the trail (followed by peeps who checked) was littered with his body parts, feet in boots, and finally his pistol that had fallen. Never found him but it was a group of BF.
The MIB showed up with canines and said it was wolves !!!!! Remember that one you guys?!! The locals who found him did not have the heart to tell her exactly the gory details. The thinking was that he did something to piss them off like perhaps shoot at one??? That one and others have destroyed my temple and spiritual sustenance I have always needed in the wild. I am no fool. Am I the one that will be spared if I have an encounter that is not in the protection of a car camper or home like the juvenile I saw in CA and my friend almost hit with the car? Will I be spared like so many people have? or not? The idea of a grisly ending like what could happen if I turn the corner into a sow Brownie with cubs is not my cup of tea. But I have options with a Brownie. Make noise. Be aware of you surroundings so you can avoid probs. Watch the signs, they are everywhere. Habitat. Leave if you need to. None of these work with BF. Yet I could sit and have an encounter with one too.
Its A Total Crap Shoot. Like Steve says on howtohunt: “I don’t have a need to seek them out”, or “I don’t really want to see those creatures.” And Missing 411……imagine the terror if you can. But we really would rather not; and deny….
