Much like the Skinwalkers in America the Aswang is an umbrella term for various shape-shifting evil creatures in Filipino folklore, such as vampires, ghouls, witches, viscera suckers, and werebeasts. After World War 2 the Aswang appeared to show up in the Philippines and started killing Hukbalahap soldiers.
