I will be welcoming Ron to the show. He had an encounter back in the early 1990’s. Ron said “We were on vacation, staying in this cabin in U.P. Michigan. The family was down swimming and fishing. I came back to the cabin and I thought someone was in there. I got to the room I thought an intruder or a thief was in there but something told me not to go in there.
Sasquatch never crossed my mind.
As I grabbed my shotgun it ran out. I followed it out but lost sight of it. As I walked into the forest looking, the intruder got up and ran for the water and jumped in. It wasn’t human, it reminded me of non human primate. I never saw it come up for air, it could have swam around the bay in an area I could not see. It was the strangest thing that ever happened to me.”

wow that sounds scary

Maria,
After reflecting for over thirty years, the biggest takeaway from my experience is the stark realization that Sasquatch really does exist and is not just some myth or hoax. When you witness something unbelievable with your own eyes it provokes a sense of wonder and suspends all doubt. There are still great mysteries and discoveries out there to investigate.. I’m excited for the day when the public / masses can finally get hard evidence of its existence. And I firmly believe that day will soon be here. I consider myself one of the fortunate few ( depending on one’s view) who already knows the truth. It was frightening, exciting, and surreal all at the same time.

I’m very interested in where in the UP this took place. I lived in the Escanaba/Gladstone area and I’ve vacationed in nearly every region of the upper Peninsula.

I too would like to know the region. I met my wife in the Upper Penisula, she was on vacation ane me with buddies on our annual softball tournament in Curtis, MI. . Her family had a lakeshore cabin on Helmer Bay of Manistique Lake, outside the town of Curtis, and we have vacationed there many times. Every trip up we would fish the Sceney National Wildlife Refuge in which a good number of encounters has happened, but not for us. Going back this next July.

That’s some great memory making, Charles! I know that area fairly well. If you haven’t been to the Keweenaw Peninsula, I highly recommend putting it on your travel plans. Once you experience Hancock, Calumet, Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and Mt. Brockway the extra drive will prove well worth it.

We went up every year from 1995 until 2015, when her Mother passed away. We pretty much stayed around the Eastern Part of the UP, Curtis, Newberry, Tahquanomon Falls, Grand Maria, and Whitefish Point at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, etc. Although in 2012 we did the Pictured Rocks on Lake Superior boat ride. It was a very warm summer that year and I was amazed at the amount of people swimming in Lake Superior, which seldom gets above 55 degrees. I grew up in Midland, MI and our family vacationed in the UP twice, and I still remember the Rabbits Ear also know as the Keweenaw Peninsula, I think I was 12. Visited all the way up to Fort Wilkens that overlooked Lake Fanny Ho in Copper Harbor. When we go this year I would like to make a couple day drive over to The Lake of the Clouds and walk that trail in which Wes interviewed a gentleman in 2024 that saw a family of 4 Bigfoots talking back and forth, while his family hid. But then got discovered and the Alpha Male came charging down and slammed both fists on top of a boulder that seperated them.
