A listener writes “First off let me say I’m huge fan of your show. I’ve been listening since it was just a pod cast. I think I got into your show somewhere in the low 30’s in show numbers. Thanks for all that you do. This show is the best education you can get on the subject in my opinion. I make my family and friends listen to the show on road trips. I’ve be a paid subscriber since the beginning.
A few weeks ago I started a YouTube channel just for something to do. I was thinking of content ideas when my wife suggested that I tell the two encounter stories that I had. Now, I never saw a Bigfoot on either of these encounters, but after listening to you show and looking into this, I think that’s what I experienced.
So I made couple of simple videos explaining my stories.
The first one was in the spring of 2013 in the Springville CA area. This is just west of Sequoia National Park. Not far from the famous hairy man cave paintings. My father-in-law owns 15 acres of old farm land at the base of the mountains. It has a small cabin with some old barns. It’s About 3,000ft in elevation. I have had some strange things happen around the property over the years, I’d love to share with you if you are Interested. This encounter took place at a fire road a few miles up the road. My brother in law and I were coyote hunting. We had rock thrown at us and we’re followed out by something on two legs just out of flashlight range. Please check out the video for more details.”
The second encounter took place in Idyllwild CA. Which is the next mountain range over from the Bigbear/Arrowhead area. This took place in the fall of 2013 which is the same year we had a bad forest fire on the mountain. This one was the real scary one, I had something thump on the house in the middle of the night and low growls out side the window. I also had two freaked out dogs. And the next day I had acorns thrown at me. I go into more detail in the video.

It was no cougar, sure you know that. Slapping a house with force is classic Bigfoot behavior. I use to live in Palm Springs area, 85-96. It was either winter of 85 or 86 my first wife and I went for a weekend to one of those cabins in Idylwild, Pine Cove area. I walked outside at night, light snow falling and I heard some kind of a moan/roar, not terrible loud, probably a hundred yards away, but you could tell it had a good pair of lungs, as was not small. At that time I thought cougar and after a minute I decided inside the cabin would be a better place. Knowing what I know now, it just may have been the big hairy man. Over the past 10 years I have heard of several encounters in this area.
Very nice video, lucky of you to have a place to visit like this. Idylwild is a gem on the edge of the Mohave. In the 90’s I use to ride my motorcycle up Hwy 74 a lot in the summer to escape the heat and visit a girl ranger on the way up. Once one slaps your house it has taken some kind of interest in you and just may return in the winter months again.
