A listener writes “Hi Wes, I was visiting with my cousin-in-law yesterday. He brought up government coverups, and I was about to tell him about your upcoming show about the government coverup of sasquatch. I started by saying “You might think I’m crazy, but I’m really interested in sasquatch and I listen to this podcast” before I could even tell him about the podcast, he stopped me. His wife rolled her eyes and said “Here we go.” He proceeded to tell me about his encounter.
When he was about 8 or 9 years old (about 40 years ago), he was camping with his cousins behind his aunt’s house in a small village called Brenizer, PA. They were all in the tent, and he fell sound asleep. When he woke up, all of his cousins were gone. He couldn’t believe they’d left him out there, so he went to the creek to pee before going back up to the house. When he was peeing in the creek, he smelled, what he described as, a very sulfer-y smell. He looked around to see what it could be, and he saw what he first thought was a pine tree. Then he looked up, to what would be the top, and saw two big red eyes. He said he was so scared, he could hardly move, but somehow he broke his gaze and ran up to his aunt’s house. He felt like it was chasing him, so he literally ran through the screen door, breaking it. He told them what he saw, but his aunt still beat him for breaking the screen door, and no one believed him.
More recently, he shared the encounter with his cousin, who also had an encounter. His cousin said he was playing the guitar on the back porch-towards the wood line. He saw the sasquatch do the typical peak from behind a tree. The really strange thing, though, is he said that everything on the side of the tree that the thing’s hand was touching died. So, everything on that side of the tree died I never heard anything like that before–I wonder if you have.
The area where he had his sighting, Derry Township, is pretty well known for sasquatch encounters. Growing up, it was common folklore, but I’ve seen recent articles in our local paper written about a paranormal researcher who documents bigfoot encounters (as well as UFO and other encounters) in our area. His name is Stan Gordon. He’s got a fairly good presence online, if you wanted to look him up.
Just type “Stan Gordon PA” and his stuff comes up. He actually helped create a fictional movie about sasquatch called “A Wish for Giants”, which showed at a local stadium. I hope that with the interest in sasquatch picking up in our area, more encounters will be heard and accepted.
Sorry for the long winded email, but I thought you might be interested to hear about some of the sasquatch-related happenings in South-Western PA.
Thanks for everything,”

Stan Gordon is very solid and began researching as a teenager when the Kecksburg UFO incident occurred in 1966 I believe. As he gained peoples confidence his ressearch included Sasquatch and even had experiences with “Men in Black”. We live in a time of High Strangeness.
