Tracks found in Kentucky

A listener writes “I’m a retired cop from Alaska. We moved to northern Kentucky earlier this year. I have a quick question: do you know of any Kentucky/Ohio cryptids that have three toes?

We had some weird footprints in our driveway last week. They were 18” long and seemed to end in three claws or toes.

I haven’t heard of anything like that before.”

Long and more narrow than the average Bigfoot track. I’m not sure what part of Northern Ky you now live. I would contact Charlie Raymond of the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization who lives around Clay City/ Stanton area of Eastern KY. They have a website and Charlie has been at it for a long time and maybe have an answer for you.

They’re looking at it going the wrong direction imo. Those aren’t toes, that’s just where the pebbles were kicked backwards. I seriously doubt something is going to have sticky soles that pick up the surface layer of rocks with each step, or turn the rocks into what looks like the underlaying sediment (which is of a different color, grain and texture).

Some people fall for things way too easily and others take advantage of that, of their ignorance, innocence or naïveté because they simply lack compassion, are overly self centered or mean. That’s why we have programs to help people recover from things like addictions and PTSD… To help people who’ve been victimized by those that took their own desires and used others to achieve only what they themselves were chasing (usually wealth, attention, or power).

People need to stop busting out the ruler on everything that looks human foot-shaped and claiming it’s an unknown creature track. It’s making everyone else more ignorant imo. You’ll never get to the meat of the subject or feel satiated with “track soup” and certainly not with scuffs in the dirt or kick rocks.
