Whoa, I mushroom hunt there every year. I’ve been going there for 5 years and didn’t know anything about possible bigfoot sightings in this area. Until I had a couple of possible squatch “signs.” Not definitive, but on two separate occasions within a 1 week period, I heard the loudest crash I had ever heard in the woods (like a bulldozer coming through). It only last about 5 seconds then stopped. Being the hyper-sensitive type, I ran quickly and stood at the trail head (I was close) for about 5 minutes in wonder. Later that week, I was about to head through some thickets to a mushroom spot, when I heard a loud “stomp.” I immediately turned around and started walking back to the logging road that took me there. I had that “hair standing on back of neck” feeling and even felt a bit dizzy. I heard the stomp again (felt it in my feet) and walked faster out of the woods. That’s when I started researching BF and stumbled upon this show AND realized GPNF is kind of a hot spot for Squatch activity. This year I will not mushroom hunt alone!

Chuck what part of the forest? I spent a lot of time there in the 70’s but didn’t hear anything. We belonged to a club 5-8 miles from the berry fields past Pattersons prairie before lost lake. There are 2 Y frame gates high on the Mt before the Indian fields. Great place & memories for a kid.
