Tonight’s Show: This was the weirdest day of my life

A listener writes “I saw a Sasquatch back in 2002 near a local lake where I fish. I was in my boat with my bird dog when it started to look like it was going to storm.

This was during the middle of the week during the summer months. I was one of only a few boats I saw that day on the lake. Anyway, as it was looking dark out I noticed across the lake(probably 450 yards away) what looked like a person near the waters edge. I packed up, started my engine, and headed back towards the ramp. As I was approaching I noticed this “person” run up the bank at an incredible rate of speed. I decided to get close and pretend just to drive by as I didn’t want this “person” to think I was intentionally looking at them. I slowed my boat and pretended to be checking out the water using my fishfinder. Then I heard the scream.

I linked up and saw this creature looking at me. The scream was high pitched and extremely loud. I continued to look and saw this thing behind a tree. It was huge. Not really bulky but kinda lanky and extremely tall. I’m guessing 8-9 ft and probably weighed 450-500 lbs. not really sure on the weight. It was pissed off and yelled again. I noticed a bunch of dead fish laying on the bank where it had been. Not fish it had killed but it looked like dead Shad laying on the bank.

I think it was eating them. After this second yell I got a good look at its face. Very human and hairless. The rest appeared to be covered with sparse long hair dark brown in color. I couldn’t see much of the body as it was behind a tree. I panicked, my dog was sniffing the air and getting extremely aggressive. I smelled nothing. After this good look I punched it and got the hell outta there.

I came back to the site later that summer and very reluctantly got out of my boat to check the tree it was next to to see if I could get a gauge on its height. 8-9 ft as I’m 6’2”. Anyway, I’ve never told a soul about this. I absolutely don’t want my name to get out as I’m a teacher and don’t want to be thought of as crazy.

This was the weirdest day of my life. I contacted you because I saw your episodes on YouTube. I just don’t understand how the hell something like this could live undetected with little cover and deer hunting trail cams everywhere. Side note a BFRO encounter at the same location happened just a couple of years ago. Thanks for your time.”

    (New Jersey Sounds like a good one!! Although it was behind a tree, it sounds like the witness got a good look at the creature and his face- in broad daylight! Looking forward to the show!

    I believe you got to see him because he was afraid you were going to take his fish. Glad you and your dog stayed safe. Thanks for sharing your encounter.
