Lynny writes “With all this talk about dog man and the LBL, it reminded me of a sighting that I had a few years ago near a place called Otter Creek Park, which is just outside of Fort Knox, Kentucky. This is the home of the woolly man, but what I saw was not a woolly man.
One night around 11 or 1130 pm my ex and I were returning home from a friend’s house that lived inside a place called Doe Valley. Doe Valley is a gated community beside a place called Otter Creek Park & Otter Creek Park runs along the Ohio River with just over two thousand acres.
We were coming down highway 1638 just outside the Doe Valley gate, like I said around 11 -1130 at night, when the black shadow of a huge wolf like creature darted out in front of our car. There is no way we were not going to hit it and it happened so fast there was no time to react. It appeared beside the car in the headlight on the passenger side, and ran in front of us in a split second disappearing into thin air on our left. Again, there’s no way that we shouldn’t have hit it, but it seems as though the front of the car went through it. It was huge, the size of a small horse and was on all fours, so I have no idea how tall it would’ve been on two legs. It was blacker than the blackest shadow I’ve ever seen and had the glowing eyes that everyone talks about. My ex and I looked at each other aghast, “Did you see that?” we both exclaimed at once and talked about it all the way home. We never figured out what it was, but with all this talk of dogman, I’m now thinking that’s what we saw that night.
I also have another story with a video I took of red orbs seen while we camped about a mile from the Ohio River at Concordia, KY. This is property owned by a friend that has a house built before the Civil War. The house is still in pretty good shape but we camped in the yard.
We had been camping there once before, and our friends that we were camping with who own the property were talking about seeing Bigfoot there.
After dark around 10 pm or so, our friend let out a loud Bigfoot call and within 2 to 3 minutes, he received an answer. We were camped near the house on a hill and there’s a creek that runs through the property. The answering howl sounded like it came from the Creek, maybe a football field or two away. We all got really scared and wondered if we should stay there, but some of us stayed up to keep watch all night, and never heard anything else the rest of the time.
The second time we went with them was a few months later in the spring time. We didn’t hear any Bigfoot howls that night, although our friend did his Bigfoot call again. What we did see is the attached video of these red orbs that appeared above the trees near where we were camping. Thank God I had my phone in my hand!
We never knew what the orbs were and could only guess that it was something of a paranormal nature that maybe answered the howls instead.

Hi Lynny,
My name is Tommy and I am from Central Oregon. I was visiting my brother for the holidays, who lives in Vine Grove, KY. Just two days ago, the day after Christmas, we both believe we encountered that dogman too.
The day after Christmas (2024), the weather was a bit warmer, around the mid 50s, so my brother decided to take my 6 year old son and I fishing to a few local spots with our last stop being Otter Creek. We had visited this same spot last summer, where my son caught his first fish, so we were excited to return. The road into the fishing spot is named after the cemetery that you’d pass on the way into Otter Creek. As we were coming around the bend in the road in his truck, we began to approach the Grahampton Cemetery, which is an old (late 19th/early 20th century era) graveyard.
As we passed the sign, I noticed what immediately appeared to be the backside of the largest wolf or Husky dog I had ever seen at the far end of the cemetery, approximately 25-35 yards away. But what was peculiar about it was that it appeared visually out-of-place. It was a crystal clear image compared to the surrounding green foundation of the cemetery. I mostly white bushy wolf-like tail and wide gray backside. Equally as confusing, was the fact that if it were a wolf or a dog then it had to have been standing on its back two feet. I could not make out a head as it appeared to be hunched over, on its back two legs bounding away toward the dirt road we needed to make a right on. It moved so incredibly quickly that I may have only seen it for less than 2 seconds. As I kept my stare in that direction, I fully expected to see a dog owner? Or human nearby? I wasn’t sure.
Continuing to look in that direction, I said to my brother, “Did I just see a dog or a wolf?” And he responded, “What was that?!?”
“You saw it too?” At that point, I turned down the radio and told my son to keep quiet as he began to ask questions (he did not see it).
Within seconds, we approached the corner to turn right, and had this thing taken off, it would have been on the road we were turning onto, but there was absolutely nothing in sight, and zero sounds. We stopped the vehicle immediately after making that right turn and looked in the direction where it was headed and nothing. In fact, what was even stranger was how the thin-treed dense forest appeared untouched. The size of this thing would have crashed through that forest with a force that should have left a trail of wiped out trees of broken branches.
We continued down the road both confused and spent the next 40 minutes fishing and discussing what we thought we had seen, all the while I was keeping an eye and the road behind us to make sure that thing didn’t follow us in.
But on our way out, we stopped at the same spot, adjacent to the cemetery and corner where we would now be turning left on the dirt road. I got out and began recording video of the area the forest this thing was headed, in case I was missing something in real time (Going back to that video, there is still no evidence of anything crashing through the trees).
I decided to walk into the cemetery (respectfully) to find its prints. Something this large and this canine would have left at least one or two obvious impressions in the soft mud. Not one. I found some deer prints, but that’s it.
I returned back to Oregon yesterday and began my research on Kentucky dogman when I came across your blog post just a few minutes ago. I immediately called my brother and shared this with him. I have been passionate about Sasquatch encounters over the past few years when I found the Sasquatch Chronicles podcast in 2019. In Central Oregon, I have visited many areas in the Mt. Hood and Central Oregon areas that have been known to be Sasquatch encounter locations, but I have never had any experience whatsoever. In fact, I have never had a Sasquatch/dogman or paranormal encounter of any kind in my life. I am not sure that this wasn’t a paranormal experience. It was in a cemetery. It appeared to have disappeared much like in your encounter. And it just felt out of place. Because your encounter was in the immediate vicinity of ours, I am convinced that what we saw was beyond any known wolf.
