A listener writes “My daughter and I moved to Kentucky from Chicago in 2021. We are not the hunter or outdoorsy types and so being in such a rural area was a bit of a culture shock. One day we were driving along a big interstate coming back from a shopping trip.

It was dusk in the early summer, so it was starting to get dark. To my left something caught my eye which is strange because the speed limit is like 70 there and I can’t say I’ve ever noticed anything before using my peripheral vision while driving that fast. I turned my head and in the distance in a clearing backed up by a tree line was the black outline of some sort of animal running on all four legs as if it was trying to take cover and knew it was visible out in the open.

It had no tail, a humpback and was very large. Initially I though it was in the shape of like a beaver or a weasel or something I was familiar with but nothing in my head fit what I was seeing. I said out loud to my daughter “what is that”? She looked and it was in our sight long enough for us to keep looking and trying to place it in our heads of what we were seeing. Nothing fit. It wasn’t a large cat, it wasn’t a bear shape or a horse or anything like that. We could not figure it out. She decided it was some sort of forest critter and we left it at that and didn’t talk about it anymore. I remember thinking that I still hadn’t figured out what the heck I saw. It was like a large unknown to me and it bugged me that I couldn’t’ figure it out.

Fast forward two years and I was listening to your podcast. The reason why I joined your podcast is because my dad used to scare my older sister and I with bigfoot stories constantly when we were young. He forced us to see some movie about bigfoot which gave me nightmares for years. I’ve always been afraid of bigfoot and figured it was time to make some sense of it all. People in the family would always make fun of my dad and say he was ridiculous for believing in bigfoot.

I didn’t like that he scared us and made us think about it when we were young. He wasn’t a hunter or anything he just insisted bigfoot was real and very ferocious. I think that’s why I found your podcast fascinating because of the curiosity I’ve always had concerning bigfoot. So recently you had a guy on who saw a female with a little one walking on all fours going towards a bait pile. This guy described the creature as on all fours with a humped back appearance. A bell went off for me and I thought of that creature my daughter and I saw that one day a couple of years ago.

I couldn’t believe it! I truly think I saw what he described running like crazy trying to get from point A to point B but knowing it was out in the open and able to be seen. I asked my daughter if she remembered, and she said kind of and that she put it out of her mind because it didn’t make any sense to her. I’ve played a couple of episodes of your podcast for her, and she believes the stories.

All I know is that what I saw did not fit any criteria for any animal I know of. Even though we were unfamiliar with the area I know that what was running was not something I’ve ever seen anywhere whether on TV or otherwise before. Obviously, I can’t be 100% sure but after listening to his story, it was like a confirmation for me that I did see what I saw.

On another note, I saw a UFO when I was 12 years old while with my oldest sister driving along a familiar street in our neighborhood in IL. I’ve told two people of this-my dad who believed me and my ex-husband who did not and said I was lying.

Basically, my older sister was driving me back to her apartment to babysit my niece and nephew while she went out. We lived about 15 minutes from each other so it was a well traveled and short trip. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, with absolutely NO noise or warning, she stopped the car, and we looked up and saw this huge triangle shaped thing right above us-I mean very close. It had lights but not too many and was a perfect triangle-like a Dorito.

It was hovering in front of us but not over us. She got out of the car and stood there in the road looking at it. Neither of us said a word. Neither of us spoke or said “did you see that”. We did not talk about it at all. In fact, we never discussed it. It’s like it went into the ether and we never brought it up after that. I don’t know why.

It was silent, huge, hovering, and it seemed to me it was more interested in her than me. I don’t know why but that’s what I sensed. Sounds crazy I know but that is exactly what happened. I am unsure how long she was out of the car but at some point, obviously we must have kept going but I have no memory of seeing it leave or seeing it disappear.

I just don’t remember. It’s a big blank in my head for some reason. Unfortunately, my sister is no longer with us, and I know we never ever talked about it.”
