A listener from AK describes an encounter he had on his family property in Washington State. He says “Seeing it in person was very surprising, it did not look at all like the world makes them out to look.
It wasn’t reddish brown hair, it was black/brown like a turkey and long like muskox hair. Its face was not easily seen, it was completely covered in hair. All that could be seen was the tip of a nose and its eyes. No ears, jaw, lips or teeth could be seen. Its head hung lower than its shoulders, as if he had his head down like a deer or elk would when nervously inspecting something. Even with its head down it was easily 8’. The head was as large as a sea lions head, it was gigantic. The eyes were as large as pill bottle lids and they were so large and reflected so much light back from my headlamp I could actually see a color spectrum, if that makes sense. When you shine any other animals in the eyes its more of a reflection, a glimmer.
These eyes were so large it projected the light out and almost had a marune hint to it. So everyone’s description of “red eyes” makes a lot of sense to me now. However the eyes aren’t red I don’t think, I think they are nocturnal and simply soak up light very well similar to a rifle scope causing them to project a color spectrum, which is absolutely insane to me that there is an animal with eyes big enough to do that. The only thing I cant get over about this encounter is that I was within 25’ of it for a solid 10 minutes and never once could I smell it.”

10 minutes at 25′, that’s enough time to die of fright 3 times! As always looking forward to this one, sounds like this creature had more hair on it’s face,I wonder if is this a northern thing ?
