It will be uploaded shortly to the podcast section. Tom writes “I am 51 years old and when I was 13 I was with my father and a friend of his.
We were going for a horse back ride into a area near lost creek Utah that was on private property and rarely visited by people called china town because of the sandstone rock formations that look like Brice canyon Utah national park about 300 miles due south from there in the same Mountain range.
We were asked to shoot the porky pines in the area because they had become a menus so we were carrying 30/30 Winchester s for the job and had been shooting several on the way
They were usually in trees when we would find them.
As we began up a ridge line I noticed down in the bottom of the valley about 150 meters away a cotton wood tree in which I though I saw a porky pine. I said to the adults with me “there is a porky pine,” but as I continued to watch it I realized it was two big for a porky pine and then thought it was a bear but soon discovered it was not s bear.
As I watched it, it was about the size as I am now (I am 6 4 250 lbs) and it was about 20 or more feet in the tree.
Then it must have noticed us because it jumped out of the tree and landed on its back feet like a gymnast sticking a landing.
It then walked on its hind feet from the bottom of the tree about 40 feet away to a oak brush hedge line and then turned to face us then squatted like a man may have squatted into the brush and disappeared so it was no longer visible but it could watch us.
It walked in what was a unnatural human gait but was smooth for it
It’s arms swung unusually more than a human gait.
It was cover with dark brown hair that appeared even from that distance.
I said to the adults with me that we should shoot it but they said that they were afraid it’s mother was around and we turned around and went back the truck and packed up and left with out reaching the intended destination of china town.
The adults were clearly shaken and afraid and and maybe I should have been and they would not talk about it after the incident.”

Not another could have shot it but didn’t story. Awe Shucks. One of these days we will here of the story from brave lads that were willing to take a shot – I like the story of the Squirrel hunter who shot a squatch in the throat. It really got PO’d but he managed to get out in time. What I like about that story is:
1) bullets – even small ones hurt Sasquatch – the shooter knew to place a shot in a good spot.
2) The Sasquatch didn’t do anything magical it just got angry
3) The sasquatch was unaware of his presence and didn’t seem to be unbelievably sly
4)After it was shot it didn’t do super ninja magical moves it was just POd and moved about like an angry hurt animal.
I also like the episodes where in Kentucky they shot at it – but didn’t kill it. Now that is credible – I never met anyone from Kentucky that didn’t like shooting anything that moved!
SC stories seem to be falling into a pattern of :
1) we heard it around our tent int he early AM hours
2) I was scared and stayed in my tent –
3) when I got the courage to look outside there wasn’t anything.
or
1) it pounded on my house
2) I got scared grabbed a gun
3) didn’t shoot because it was too human or I forgot.
I hope someday we get some brave lads that shoot one and get some good blood samples at least.
I would love to hear another siege story.

Kenneth, There are dozens of accounts that go back nearly 200 years where people have shot them, hit them with their car or truck, etc. At this point in time, it’s not about finding hair, DNA, or skeletal remains. The situation requires a very large COOPERATIVE effort from scientists such as cryptozoologists and primatologists, seasoned outdoorsman, private citizens, public figures, and even government officials and reporters who are all willing to put their “@$$ on the line”. If all persons involved would put their own selfish agenda aside, whether it be fame or fortune, the sasquatch community may one day make progress acknowledging this creatures’ existence.

I believe they HAVE been Shot. & Those who KNOW about them can not come up with a good enough explanation at How WE Devolved from Them. I think there could be MANY More than we realize . ( Not to Shoot them though , They have families To. Our Tribes ? Groups ? Or However they Cohabitate ?)
I Lived in Northwestern Michigan since 1978 . And I Personally have only seen 3 Black Bears in my Life. And I do not have a Photograph of 1 of them. ( well 4 – But 1 was in Pa )
What Episode did that Man see 2 Noodling Fish along the Back & 1 was Shot ? And Another one walked out of the Bush & they Killed & Ate the one that was Wounded ?( I am sure I heard it Here )
MAYBE there IS a Pattern ! Do these thing generally come out at Night ?(late in the day – early in he Morning ) Is THIS why Ancient Man Identified Danger w/ the Night ? Is This the ” Other Shift ” that conducts it’s Business at Night ? I Like that Sir ! You could be ON To something THERE !

Hey Kenneth, I’ve heard a story where a hunter shot one and it ran off but he thought it was a good shot with a high powered rifle. He went out hunting a few weeks later in the same area and he came up missing. A search found his body but his head had been popped off. Once you shoot one of these animals your life will be changed probably not for the good. Food for thought.
