A listener writes “I was 17 my boyfriend and I at the time we’re down the road about 3 miles from my home we went off a paved Country Road between his house and mine and there was a road that cut off before you got to the bridge to the left it went straight down a hill to the creek we were sitting there talking listening to the radio and we started hearing something in the creek thought it was a deer didn’t think much of it started talkin sitting on the tailgate of his truck.

He had to go pee so he walked down to the creek and he was hearing something he said quietly come here so I walked over there I said what is it he said do you hear that and we listened and you could tell it was something walking and it wasn’t a deer very remote no one have would have been down there we used to go down there a lot never had any problems we were standing there listening and the moon was out and all of a sudden he said look and I was looking he said what is that I said I don’t know but it’s not a bear he said I know we were standing there whispering and this thing heard us and then we heard this growl.

It was so menacing this thing was about 8 foot tall huge couldn’t make out the face that will could see the eyes and when it seen us looking at it, it let out a roar we took off running jump in the truck he started up the hill as fast as we could go I was screaming he was terrified we were going at the road and the back of his truck was going from one side of the road to the other spinning gravel this thing was chasing the truck.

We finally made it to the paved Road and it stopped he had told me a few weeks before this happened his mother and father owns a lot of land and there was a bottom that they had their cattle in down by a creek on their property and his mother had told him she had found some large Footprints down by the creek , his mother was a woman that would never say something that wasn’t true, and we were just a couple of miles up the road from where he lived and probably 5 miles from where she seen the footprints.

They had probably 100 acres of land at the time I thought we were going to die I’ve never been so scared in my life when we pulled in my driveway we were still shaking talking about it we both agreed it was on two legs it had arms a head and we both felt the scream and the growl I feel like if it wanted to it could have had us I feel lucky to have gotten out of there, I grew up in the country close to there I use to ride my horse stayed in the woods when I was growing up I was a tomboy couldn’t believe that I seen something like that after that I never ever went in the woods again , I know they are real !! I listen to your show all the time love it”
