While canoeing in a swamp outside of Tampa, Florida, the witness spotted something “walking” and diving in a gator infested area. He starting filming what he thought was a bear. The only problem is that Lettuce Lake Park is a 240-acre Hillsborough County-run park where bears tend to stay clear from.
Skunkape Bigfoot Video from Lettuce Lake Stabilized

This was one is one of the best hoaxes ever in the Bigfoot World, IMO and was put to bed 5 years ago. It fooled me and thousands of others at the time and is one of the reasons I look at purported Bigfoot video with an eye toward skepticism first these days. R. Monteith of the Florida Bfro did some research and found other hoaxes this group had perpetrated.

Well…if BFRO says it’s a hoax…then it’s settled ?
Charles R
I will add this is R. Monteith who was with the Bfro in 2015 and years before, and lives in Florida. Through some detective work she was able to trace the filmers of this video back to the other two obvious hoaxes that is in the thread that I inserted. Over the years she has done really good investigations into numerous reports in Florida and other states as well.
TT has made done some good work in the past and has also made some huge blunders, most notable with turkey hunter video, and the Yellowstone cross country skiers. It can happen to any of us if one is not careful.

The BFRO has no cred in my opinion. They change eyewitness accounts to serve there own theories. They are nothing but another corporate entity. That being said I could recreate this footage.

I think you should read the article Charles posted showing evidence of a hoaxing before saying it can’t be a hoax if the Florida BFRO says it is.
Donald P
BFRO is most likely involved in the cover-up of this subject. What better way to get information than to have people contact you with it and then you can spin the story any way you want. Reminds me of Project Blue Book.
Knobby
Why would they cover it up, I don’t get it.

Hello,
Who’d think this isn’t real?
I’ve always assumed this is a real Bigfoot. Why would the BFRO come out and say it isn’t?
Let me guess…because THEY didn’t do the video and THEY didn’t approve of it in the first place and it wasn’t on THEIR TV show.
Sometimes “experts” are full of s–t.

I think it’s real. Who is going to put a furry suit on and go wading around in a swamp in Florida which is filled with snakes, gators, and everything else? ( Suit is going to weigh a person down especially when it’s wet ) Just to make a fake video? I Highly doubt it..
Knobby
Its fake. The same group of people were involved in two other hoaxes in Florida. Some here saying because a BFRO chapter in Florida investigated and under covered the lies/hoaxing then it must real is not a logical argument. The leader of this hoaxing is a taxidermist who makes bigfoot masks and has been caught in other hoaxing, like a two headed alligator.
