    I am born and raised in Latrobe, Pa. Westmoreland County at the base of the Chestnut Ridge and live less than 10 minuets from the locations in this post. This is just a small sample of the Sasquatch, UFO, other cryptid and paranormal things that have happened in this area in my lifetime. I have witnessed a UFO as a child in the mid 1970’s and have been paralleled while kayaking in the same creek mentioned by something I did not see but it was not happy that I was in the area and it was letting me know as such. I have been in the outdoors all my life and know the sounds that animals make and this was a repeated sound from something with a large set of lungs and it scared me. Needless to say I never go on anywhere without a large caliber semi auto pistol. It may not help me with an encounter with any of the above but it makes me feel better knowing that at least I don’t have to use sticks and stones to defend myself if need be.

    Oh my, I live an hour from this area. I guess I was too young at the time to realize any of these events were going on. Seems as though PA is a hotspot for many weird sightings and reports. It’s fascinating for sure.
