The spring of 2017 brought 22-year-old Jacob Gray to Port Townsend, Washington State, for a visit with his mother and grandmother. A seasoned outdoorsman, surfer, and avid cyclist from Santa Cruz, California, Jacob was no stranger to the wilderness.
