Has it been discussed that when the woods go silent, maybe it’s not that nature stops making noise? If these creatures are able to control infra sound, perhaps they are able to control environmental sound waves. If you’ve been outside at night after a heavy snow fall, and there is no wind, the silence is almost deafening. The snow absorbs the sound waves. Perhaps that’s part of why an animal so large is able to move so silently. I mean, good grief a small squirrel can’t move across the leaves without making a hell of a lot of noise. Maybe it’s not that they aren’t making sounds, it’s that they are able to capture or absorb sound waves and prevent them from traveling.
Does this make any sense?

Wow Juli that is such a brilliant thought. This is my first time ever posting or replying but your comment deserved a response. And yes it makes sense.

Kinda like a huge, hair covered “Bose Noise Cancelling Headset”?

Yes, Juli, I think it does make sense. How else can a being soooo very large move without rustling up crisp autumn leaves like humans do? Good point.

Wow juli w that is definitely thinking outside the box. You just started a scientific study. You need a Nobel peace award. And I think that award is 1000000$ and new car per year for rest of your life. I could be thinking outside box a little. Seriously good thinking.
