I suspect if aliens DID have a hand in hybridising hominids Sasquatch are the original inhabitants, humans are the hybrids.

A recent guest on the show made a good point. If you put a chimp, a gorilla, a orangutan, a Sasquatch and a man around a campfire………………Which is the one that does not look anything like the others? It’s man. We are the one that doesn’t look like we naturally belong on earth.

Leaving aside any possible outside influence… we are ALL hybrids. A result of Homo sapiens sapiens migrating to different parts of the globe and interbreeding with the original hominid inhabitants…
… explaining why the ‘races’ look so markedly different across the globe (different Sasquatch types influenincing the gene pool).
