The Hunt For Bigfoot In Maine

There’s a science that is dedicated to finding out if that strange and unfamiliar animal you saw was really what you think it is. It’s called cryptozoology, the study of hidden or unknown animals.

The only museum in the world dedicated to highlighting this science is the International Cryptozoology Museum

When I was a kid in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, my dad, a Michigan Conservation Officer, told me that people sometimes sighted cougars, usually relating these accounts with a chuckle.
Officially, in the 1950s and ’60s cougars were long extinct in Michigan, and the sightings were considered a fantasy. Now, cougars are known and officially recognized as living in Michigan.
