Tennessee Sasquatch : Cave possibly used for shelter?

Randy H. writes “My hunting partner and I got this footage after following several wood-knocks and tree-snapping, atop a ridge above where we were making our approach into this area, where we’ve been getting quite a bit of activity, for almost a year now (this area is about twenty-two miles from our primary area, one county over).

We’ve now discovered around a half dozen caves in this immediate area (all within a 2 square mile area), three of which we’ve found tracks, seemingly exiting them.

This particular cave we found during this incident, had a main room of about 2000 sq. feet, a relatively small “back door” exit-hole, around thirty yards distance from the entrance, and three relatively traveable cooridors that we’ve yet to explore.

We’ve been having a lot of activity between our four areas, and thought you might appreciate this.

Super interesting seeing the 2 different points of view from both guys cameras, during the same situation. I’m not sure I would be able to continue into the cave knowing there was an unhappy Sasquatch watching. Thanks for posting Wes.

The entrance of the “cave” looks man-made with the corbeled stones and guide stones into the entrance. Its unclear whether the rest of the cave is that way, too. It might be a neolithic shelter.

I’m actually working with a speleologist on a lot of the cave-based research we’re doing, to ensure I have as much info as possible on such.

Though it looks man-made, it’s actually due to sandstone and limestone fracturing. It’s just a natural part of how the rock in this region erode and what not (this area was a shallow sea back in dinosaur olden-days, hence the limestone/sandstone geology).

We went back yesterday, and explored the cave more. Though no definitive sign was found inside (we did find some suspect impressions within one corridor that went back to a room about 12ftx8ft or so, but, ya know, rocky caves don’t exactly offer a lot of soft substrates to capture imprints well), it definitely is large enough for a (dozen) Sasquatch to take shelter in, if such was needed.

We also discovered two new caves yesterday (and we’re fairly confident we got flanked by the resident family at one point), but we’re gonna have to return with rappelling gear, as both have 30-40ft shafts (straight down) that ya gotta climb, to access them properly.
