I wanted to apologize to my members, I had one of my main laptops crash on me this morning. I was able to pull all of the data off of it and I will be replacing it tomorrow. Tonight’s show will be posted tomorrow and I apologize for the replay tonight. It was out of my control.
I will try to have tonight’s show up early for you guys. Woody and Joe who is a listener will be joining the show, plus Woody and I interview Brandon who has been having some major issues around his home including having these creatures bang on his house, come up to the windows and growl. Brandon’s little daughter said “the shadow people” come up to her window at night and try to talk to her but she cannot understand what they are saying.
I apologize again for tonight but we will return tomorrow!

*This is NOT a fanboy post*
I switched from PC to Mac earlier in the year.
I could usually keep my PC’s running just fine by wiping them clean right out of the box, installing my copies of Windows (from XP through 7), the drivers, and only the software I wanted. Eliminate the bloatware and BS, and rarely would I have crashes.
Still, the seamless experience of working with Mac’s blew the PC away in my opinion.
There are downsides, sure, but I’d look into them Wes if you haven’t already, for productivity purposes.

Apple Macintosh all the way!
Rich A
I feel your pain Mr Wes……………No worries man we completely understand! I’m a PC Guy and spend most of my time fighting virus and crashing…I hear that’s pretty standard for pc. Apple folks apparently don’t deal with any of this from what I hear…Love Love Love the show. Better than ever.
MilitantDanny
As long as you aren’t into cutting edge gaming, you’ll love the Mac interfaces and operability Rich. The stability is top notch, haven’t had any issues with viruses or anything.
Downsides are all of your old software on PC won’t work without Parrallels Desktop or Bootcamp running Windows on a virtual drive. I use Parallels but haven’t had to lately as I’ve found alternative Mac software to fill the needs of previous PC programs.
Specs seem lower on paper but you don’t need the raw power to plow through the inefficiency of a PC/Windows environment. In the end it’s actually faster.
Took me awhile to cross over but it’s been well worth it to me.

Dammit!
I just hope you haven’t had a visit from Bob Garrett’s ‘friends’, too ;o)
Kay S
That crossed my mind too!
Papa - Yeti
All is cool Wes, we understand, and wish you well in buying a new PC, and recovering your Hard Drive stored Data… if taken to a PC repair shop, they should be able to recover all of you Data.

LOST WEEKEND

Shadow people coming up and trying to talk to a child from a window!
randolph w
How creepy is that?
Jonathan B
Seems like we are entertaining your self’s with stories, Bob Garret (I hope I spelled correctly) have a few things in common. Me and my wife meet in nachododes (not spelled correctly) Texas. My wife mother and father was in there late 40’s when she was born. Her father took her to prom my wife was so proud of her father. One of her friends said that’s so nice you have your grandfather bring you to prom dee(my wife’s name) said no that’s my father. Her father is a world war 2 veteran and her mother comes from Iroquois tribe out of Canada.

I have had experience with both Apple and PCS and I wish to throw my support behind what was said. In a sense, you get what you pay for, Macs are more expensive but the quality of the architecture is much higher and more reliable. If you can afford one I would go to Apple. Especially when it comes to multimedia production the Apple stands out. No problem with the show Wes, I think most of us have had the experience of a computer crashing at the most inopportune time. Looming forward to the Monday show.
Theodore G
I don’t know what looming forward to the Monday show means but I meant to say looking forward. The swipe keyboard on smartphones are really efficient but the word correction/replace gets me all the time. I have to learn to proof read before I hit the submit button. Oh well, I am only 2% human, I blame the 98% chimp side of me for all my grammatical errors and a bunch of other personality disorders, though I don’t fling my own waste to solve life’s problems. So I have that going for me.

With everything that has to go right and all the things that have to line up Plus the technical equipment you have to depend on for a show to make it out on time . I am amazed that you are able to hustle out as many on time as you do. Wes, I realize the monumental effort that must be involved in finding then interviewing all the possible guests for two or more shows Per week plus keeping up with the blog and The website in general. I just want to say thanks for all the hard work that you do we really appreciate it.

I like Shadow People as much as Sasquatch
