A so so interview quickly devolved into an exercise in self pity after the question “What do you think of my encounter?” If you don’t want an answer, don’t ask the question. Maybe that’s a little rough, but if this guy wants to succeed as an interviewer, and be able to draw in believeable people with believable reports, he needs to keep the interest on the story, not himself.
