SURVIVORMAN: Secrets of Shelter Making

Les writes “As always trying to keep you up on more content to pass the pandemic time. I hope you are finding ways to harness any silver linings you may find during this unprecendented time in history. They are there if you look for them. I’m hoping that some of you can actually use this difficult situation to make some major changes for the better in your life. As for Earth Day – well – I wish it was Earth Day every day! Here’s another from the vault everyone. Its a compilation of my favourite shelter making moments! Enjoy!”

Les Stroud has balls of steel. Who else ventures into Sasq hot spots alone, sleeps on the low ground while his guide went to sleep in his truck due to hostile activity. My hat is off to you good sir! Please make more episodes of Bigfoot TV!

Less I found this very interesting. My years of roughing it are past. I prefer a camper or my cabin now. I have always enjoyed the out doors. I had never thought about fixing or setting up the bed first then building the walls around it…makes great sense. I have two grandsons now that enjoy the outdoors and I would like to share with them the idea that you use whatever is at hand. Spring is here so I think that will be a summer project for us.
    Thanks for the ideas.
