A listener writes “I have been listening to your show, Sasquatch Chronicles, for a short time. And, though the experience I had does not seem as significant as many of those I have heard your guests share, I thought I would pass it along regardless.
I was living in See Canyon, which is east of Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo county, California.
It was a late Fall night, and it was hot. I couldn’t sleep, and I had many of the windows open in the above-garage granny flat I was renting.
As I was lying back on my bed listening to the outside noises of restless animals and insects, a sudden, thunderous, and long roar echoed throughout the canyon. My cat immediately sat up and looked toward the window in the bedroom. All outside noises stopped… it became dead quiet. Not even the crickets made a sound.
I sat still for some time as I thought about what could have made the sound. I do not believe it could have been any kind of domesticated animal. It did not sound like a mountain lion, any other kind of cat, or even a bear. The resonance of the sound was incredible. It was extremely loud. It had a deep base tone, it seemed to echo throughout the entire canyon, and the length of the call lasted between five and seven seconds.
After contemplating the sound for a short while, I began to relax again–reasoning that the sound had to have been made by something common to the area.
Then, approximately ten minutes later, a second roar just like the first one reverberated throughout the canyon once again.
I cannot say that I am a believer in sasquatch, but I have no idea what made those two roars.”

That must have been extremely surreal and, frightening! I can imagine it’s always in the forefront of your mind too.

Can you imagine lying in bed listening to the crickets and feeling the soft gentle breeze float through the open window then you hear that roar of something that you’ve never heard before, and not just once but twice?! Holy Cow!That must of scared the Hell out of him and the poor cat!! Hope to hear his experience on the show!!
