Strange Sighting In Manitoba

A listener writes “I grew up in southeastern Manitoba and southwestern Alberta, Canada. First off I’d like to tell you what a big fan I am of the show, I have been listening for just over a year now and it’s helped me get through some dark moments in these already trying times.

The first strange thing that I’d like to bring up happened in either 08 or 09. I was out looking for my brother. He had been drinking with some friends and ended up getting stuck out on a back road someplace. So I went out looking for him thinking it wouldn’t be too hard to find him. Long story short It was not easy to find him in fact I didn’t find him. I spent the whole night driving around looking for him. He ended up getting picked up by some friends around noon the next day. But I did see something Odd, and in hindsight quite terrifying. Southeast Manitoba is notorious for its hog industry 100s of barns, essentially factories. And these factories have what’s called “dead bins” and they are for the hogs that don’t make it in those conditions.

So it’s not rare to see a big wolf, cat (lynx, or cougar) or bear wandering around late at night messing around with these bins or just prowling. On this particular night I saw something that I thought was a bear at first just due to its sheer size but on second look it had a long tale and huge upper body. Second thought, maybe it’s a wolf? I’ve seen big wolves around and with the bins it wouldn’t surprise me but something was odd with this wolf. the shoulders were higher than the hind legs, like a lot higher. This thing was huge, mind you I was in a 92 honda accord so I was low to the ground but it was quite large, its shoulders were well above my head. Now this is where it gets weird. I start to step on it. I get up to 100 km (roughly 60 mile an hour) on a half mile stretch. Loose gravel was shooting and I was fishtailing hard. and as I was coming to a T intersection I ended up taking the corner at around 40 mile an hour but right before I took the turn I looked over and it was right there keeping up to me. I went home immediately and convinced myself for years it was a really big wolf… could be.

OMG, that is creepy! I live in Manitoba. I wish I knew where this took place! I am already on the lookout for sasquatch when in the lake areas but I need to be aware of dogman too?????

Thanks for sharing that. One thing for sure, don’t go driving at night in a little bitty car, furthermore don’t go driving at night. Sounds dogman to me, whatever they are. Dr Fauci could probably tell you. Ha.
