A listener writes “I just bought some backpacking gear for a trip my friends and I were going to do in the Hoosier National Forest this September and decided tonight I was going to camp in my parents woods to test my sleep system and the Temp ratings all that stuff, my Dad had Heard what he thinks was a Bigfoot Vocalization while deer hunting a few months ago on the edge of a wood line that his stand overlooks.
He told me where and how far away he heard this roughly 10 second sustained Vocalization and while I was in the Woods just now I Heard Distinct Rocks Clacking Together in 5-10-15-30 second intervals over the course of 30-40 minutes. While making my way to the camp site I heard nothing, while getting myself situated in the tent I heard nothing, only when I wasn’t making any noise did it start. I listened for about 10 minutes unable to figure out what it was,
I heard twice during the Clacking, a rapid Clack-Clack to quick to be something hitting a tree and couldn’t figure out what the noise was until one of them was a more distinct Rock clack and then it dawned on me how the speed of the Clack-Clack was being done.
I immediately went back to the house and while getting my boots on and coat it didn’t make a sound, and while walking back to the house it didn’t make a sound.
I told my mom what I heard and she is strictly a unbeliever in bigfoot and I got her to go outside and listen to it with me, we got about halfway to the Campsite Shotgun now in Hand and stopped.
The whole time we were talking about it and moving towards the site it didn’t do it and I told my mom if we stand still it will do it and sure enough 5 seconds later it started back again and we probably listened to it for another 5-8 minutes before we went back to the house, my mom tried to debunk it as men working on lumber but it is 26 degrees outside tonight and pitch black night time.
The entire time my mom was talking while we stood at the half way point it didn’t do it and as soon as we stopped making noise it started again.
She admitted it was weird and I woke my dad up who had just gone to bed when I went down the woods Originally and told him about it, he got dressed and we both walked down there clear to the camp site and stopped and listened and sure enough as soon as we were silent it started again.
My dad did two tree knocks and got no response and it stopped Clacking for probably 3 minutes after those.
It did start again and after a few more clacks,
I pointed my flashlight at the fire pit down there just a few feet from my tent and told my dad to clack two of the rocks together from the pit.
After he did that we heard two more clacks and then it stopped completely.
The clacks that my dad made were IDENTICAL to the sounds we were hearing and it still is sending shivers down my spine.
The clacks were coming from the exact area where my dad had heard that Vocalization a few months ago and roughly the same distance away.
I pretty well believe in Sasquatch now because there’s nothing that would be Clacking Rocks Together in the middle of the night in the middle of the woods when it’s 25ish degrees out.
This is where I feel silly for thinking this, but I can’t help but think that the different patterns of Clacking could have been long distance Communications and when we did it back, it essentially jammed there communications so to speak by introducing a signal that didn’t match any of there Distinct patterns. And they realized we were listening and terminated communication.
Almost if someone sent a radio message in a different language while listening in on a foreign Radio Frequency.
The noises were probably roughly a quarter mile away and I took a video originally while in the tent, and my dad took a video before he did his Clacking and neither video captured the Audio of the Clacking, to give a idea of how far off it was.
Thanks for your time Wes and I’ve loved listening to your show as a Now former Skeptic and I never imagined I’d be writing you a Email but here we are.”

That actually sounds plausible
