Strange Green Fog

A listener writes “My fiance and I went to Point Pleasant, West Virginia to see the Mothman museum and saw where the silver bridge collapsed.

We decided to go through Virginia on our way back to Tennessee where we live and took Hwy 33. When we entered the Monongahela National Forest a deer jumped into the road it seemed normal to me, but usually when there is one deer there are more. I think it could have been a not a deer because it just spilled onto the road and acted different.

We drove through fog and smelled the scent of gunpowder in the air and it continued until we got close to Harrisonburg, VA. The weirdest thing is that we didn’t have any phone service until we drove through green fog and it came back and the gunpowder smell was the strongest and it went away.

We did some research and that highway seems fairly haunted and people have reported seeing either a male hitchhiker that disappears in people’s cars or a little girl that does the same thing. Also growing up I’ve had a few paranormal things happen at my grandparents farm too.”

I suspect but can not state for certain, that the Gunpowder smell that you encountered was in fact, sulfur, and was very pungent. I don’t know if you will recall precisely how thick the gunpowder smell was, but it would be interesting to know at what point it was heavier in it smell and it was lighter. I say this, because the sulfur smell, if that’s what you smelled more of, is very very important as a clue to where this came from. It is not of this world, but yet is the sulfur that is described being from the pits of hell and represents a clue as to the transfer of object objects or in this case fog, from one point to another.

there are subtle clues with all of the sightings, that are of like kind. They are often missed and not discussed. I am not, I repeat. I am not, 100% sure of what I state. But it is a clue. Remember the old puzzles used to do or ask you to identify what is similar or a like kind? That represents the clues that are in all of these mysteries that I look for. Let me know what other clues there might be that are not posted in this encounter. Your story is very compelling and interesting. Thank you.
