A listener writes ” It was back in 1990 in upstate NY. I lived near the Ashokan Reservoir I found the perfect little pond to go bass fishing that was about a mile off the road and next to the reservoir.
Bass season opened June 1, so at midnight June 1st I park on the side of the road, hike a mile through the woods and go fishing. I’m fishing about an hour and I hear somebody walking towards me from the direction of the road. I immediately think, wow that is one big fat cop. I thought it was a cop or ranger coming to check my license. All I could think was that is a long walk through the woods to find me just for a license check, but that is their job. This guy was heavy. I could almost feel him slowly stomping through the leaves. I turned around and there was no flashlight. And that is when I knew it wasn’t a cop. Police don’t go through the woods without a light. I could hear and feel 2 footsteps at a time. This was not a 4 leg animal. The weight of the steps blew me away how heavy they were.
When I looked the steps stopped. It could see me but I couldn’t see it. After I turned around and the steps stopped I started packing up. I was getting out of there. I was terrified. It stopped coming towards me and then slowly parralled where I was. As I packed up I could hear it walking slowly away. I got all my things and ran back to my car. I heard it snort or sniff or grunt, but the weight of this thing is what amazed me. And a few years later I realized/thought wow that had to be a Bigfoot. It was not 4 legs. I was only 20, but had been in the woods hunting and fishing long enough to know what 2 and 4 feet sound like. I told my best friend that I usually fished with and he said a lot of weird things happen in the woods at night. I compare the steps this thing took to the sound a horse makes when it steps.
I almost didn’t email you but I thought, what the heck I’ll see what happens”

Very interesting. It sounds like it most likely was a BF. I’d love to hear more.
