A listener writes “This encounter did not happen with me but my mum when she was a child. She is now 70 , this is when she was around 6-7 years old. My mum used to live in a small country town, like a village (that’s what you call it in India) it was summer time and they had a fair going on in their town but they had to travel like 10 miles . They had bull carts that time where they used two bulls to pull the cart, they were fine , they had money but cars were not very common that time so they used carts to travel around if they had to travel a decent distance.
It was summer and typical hot/clear night, they were returning from fair, so in cart was my mum, my aunty( her older sister) my grandpa ( her father and her uncle( my grandpa’s brother). They were crossing a creek through a forest , as soon as they crossed the creek, they came near a big tree, it was a big sacred fig tree. These trees are infamous for all paranormal activities at night in India and in day hours people actually worship them.
So they were crossing that tree and halfway something jumped out of the tree, it was 7 feet tall, hairy and huge. It made a huff sound . My mum and my aunt started screaming, and before they looked at it well, that thing disappeared. The bulls were scared too so they stopped in tracks . My grandpa tried to move them forward and as soon as they took two more steps, that thing jumped again from the tree. This time the bulls just panicked and actually moved like 6-7 steps back. And again that thing disappeared.
Third time the same thing happened again. My grandpa again took the cart maybe 5-6 steps ahead and that thing jumped again . This time my grandpa and my mum’s uncle they got scared too because the thing actually shook the whole tree. They shouted and there were some people passing by at distance, they came for the rescue. But the bulls were so Patricia’s they did not take any step forward. They had to take other way round the creek to pass through. I asked my mum if she could see the facial features, she said no but it was like a huge bear, only they did not have any bears in that area ever.
They had hyenas and wolfs but no bears. She told me the ground shook every time that thing jumped down the tree and they never saw that thing climbing back up. It just jumped and vanished all three times. She doesn’t even have an idea of Bigfoot. So I don’t know what she saw but I just thought to share this with you. Thanks.”

It so easy to put yourself as the listener right in the middle of this, it’s like sitting in the bull cart, your heart skipping a beat as the monster repeatedly appears and reappears. Makes you wonder why it has to scare people like that, and it makes you wonder why those trees were so sacred.

Wow! No wonder she remembers it so well! Scary!

Sure would like to know which region of India this happened. Definitely in the northern mountainess regions is habitat for the Yeti. And perhaps they occupy some of the interior.
