The man who recorded this writes “Heard this late night. It howled once so I turned on my camera to catch it if it howled again. I’m in South GA so there’s no wolfs, bears, etc. I’m not sure what it could be.”

I just locked my doors.

I agree. Doors locked, furniture in front of doors, under covers, repeating over and over “There’s no such thing as monsters….there’s no such thing as monsters….”

I think back to how many times we have been out camping and heard noises we could not identify. We would blame it on some animal we knew in nature and dismiss it. We enjoyed state forest lands. Sometimes we would hike in a mile or so for our campsite. My imagination can run wild so now knowing more about what could be out there…I would not get any rest. Creepy sounding. Thanks Wes

No doubt what you recorded there. Nice. Be safe and many thanks for sharing.

My dog strangely reacted to that.
I was laying down and she was next to me sleeping and then I played it and she popped up and crawled on me (she’s a puppy) and stared at my phone. Then she kept trying to paw at my phone and when I tried to move her off of me, she just stared at my phone.

Coyote or a dog?? Not enough there to cause panic. Cool recording!

Heard similar sound in southeast Alabama

Yep I heard that a few times in the Shanandoah mountains

That is really odd that the author said that there’s no bears in South Georgia. I live in Southwest Georgia, 23 miles above the Florida line, they are bears in North Florida and they do not try to avoid the Georgia state line, they come right in.
