I grew up in the woods all the neighbors used each others land for hunting camping 4 wheeling or what ever so all the land combined was close to 40 -50 acres most of it is thick woods except down by the creek there’s a clearing wide enough for a truck to get through. The creek runs down to the Catawba river that is about 1/2 to 1/3 miles away., that’s the lay out of the area. I have grown up out here lived there all my life till just 2 years ago. I camped out hunted 4 wheeled every piece of this land by myself and with friends I know every animal, bird sound we have coyotes out here and they make weird noises but I know it’s them.

Any way the strange things that has happened around here several times we have had what sounded like someone slamming a sledgehammer on the roof, it would happen several times we would get guns go out side and nothing would be there this would happen every now and then everyone has heard it not just me and it would always happen late at night. We had about 10 chickens and duck go missing and we had a 135 lb. German Shepherd that would not let anything get near the chickens or ducks he looked out for them we had 3 cats get turned inside out like they were skinned and there’s no animal around here that would do that like I said our dog Smoke he was almost solid black but he would take on a whole pack of coyotes and win he was a tough boy he was always chasing stuff in to the woods he would get all worked up then go after what ever it was.

Then one day we found him in the basement something had caused trauma to his insides and he made his way to the basement and passed away, I thought I was going to die after that was my best friend. A few days later about 11-12 at night I was out on the porch smoking and heard something almost laughing at me from the tree line about 50 feet away, I have never heard this noise before in my life it was really weird sounding then a few months later same thing happened it was in the tree line about 50 ft away.

One morning on the way to work a year or so later I was listing to bigfoot sounds on YouTube I can’t remember the exact video but I heard the exact same thing on that video that I heard in our woods I almost had to pull over it just creep me out. Another time I was out side smoking this was winter time we have had a good bit of snow then it got really really cold down into the single digits and turn all the snow into ice pretty much. I keep hearing this crunching sound back in the tree line it sounded like someone or thing walking on 2 legs so I went inside and got my rifle my dad was there and asked what’s wrong I told him so he got a rifle and came with me, we walked up and stopped about 20 ft from the tree line at first we didn’t hear anything but then we heard something running at us on 4 legs it scared us to where we both drew down with our rifles but it would stop just behind the tree line but when it walked away it sounded like it was 2 legged but would turn around and charge on 4 legs it was freaking weird man we stayed there for about 10 min with this going on then it just walked off into the woods but it sounded like it was 2 of them what ever it was walking off on 2 legs.
