Sounded like children laughing and playing?

I am working on getting this witness on the show. He told me about his sighting that happened 25 years ago. He wrote: “One of my most recent encounters I’ve had, which was about 2 years ago was of a sound, such as 5-6 children were laughing and playing out in the forest, during one of my wood cutting expositions mid fall, early morning up near Mt. Hood in Oregon. I had not only I, but my son and another friend out there that heard it as well. My friend really believes it was children out playing in the forest at 7 am on a cold foggy mid fall morning. He believes this, because we passed houses up, on the way in that morning, mind you these houses were at least 5 miles away from where we were cutting wood at. My son was skeptical, but also afraid because of the distance it had covered, and as for me, I’m sure i knew exactly what it was.

When I heard these sounds I was on top of a ridge and the sounds seemed to have covered I would say about a 1/4 mile of ground in less than 15 seconds it seemed. Mind you this was all over a fresh clear cut, with stacked wood piles, and tree stumps still sticking 1-2ft out of the ground. The ground in which it covered was to impossible for any sort of human being to do in such short of time, and with all the obstacles in the way. This was also the same place in which I had a sighting about 25yrs earlier while riding dirt bikes with another friend.”

      great point, I had them rock to rock, rock to hardwood tree, and stick knock inside of 100 yds, in in the past 90 days as the kids played on the swings, and the adults were bbqing

    Depends on directionality of the source of sound. If the origin of the sound is facing away from the hearer, then moves toward the hearer, it can seem like the source of the sound is covering vast distances in a short amount of time. Then we must take into account any topography that may channeling the directionality of the sound. Sounds travel and ” bounce” off surfaces at angles. Were there any rocky outcroppings, large boulders, rock washes in the general vicinity? I’ve walked for miles in some of that area, it would be nice to know which side of Mt. Hood they were on. I’ve had the feeling of being watched from the woods several times, I was near the Resort at the Mountain.

    I have a friend who has been part of a local Sasquatch research group here in northern Colorado for probably close to a decade. He has shared many of his encounters with me along with some pretty convincing photos he’s taken as well as audio of Samurai chatter. Just two weeks ago he told me that he had a strange experience on one of his recent outings. He said that he heard the sound of a little girl laughing/singing outside his tent very late in the night. He knows he was miles from another campsite and there weren’t any children on his outing. He really doesn’t know what to think of it. This blog reminded me of his story and I thought it relevant to share. Thanks!
