A listener writes “The first time I realized Big foot/ Sasquatch might possibly be real was in the early 2000s when I was starting out as a youth minister.
My Pastor at the time in North Louisiana shared an encounter he had in the early 1980s. This encounter was very similar to testimonials you have on your show. He was Christian camp counselor in rural Arkansas. One evening he had “something” pace him along a tree and brush filled hillside when he was returning to his cabin. He was walking on a flat trail which hugged a 45 degree slope. He would stop and footsteps would stop a few seconds later 20 feet high on the hillside. This happened multiple times, when he yelled there was no echo so he knew his footsteps weren’t echoing. After a minute of this he thought it was his cabin roommate playing a trick on him so began to sprint back to his cabin. He became frightened when he realized he was running full speed on flat ground and “something’ was keeping pace on the dark tree brushed filled hillside at a 45 degree incline.
He said the entire time the creature stayed 15 -20 yards from him and never came closer, but it kept pace. He described racing for the turn off which led to the cabin and the footsteps stopped. When he darted in his roommate was standing there and said Rick you look like you’ve seen a ghost. He really believes he encountered a sasquatch in Arkansas.”

Yep. I lived in Oklahoma near the Arklatex which borders Oklahima, Louisiana and Texas. I remember returning home drivibg lonely hour long drives from Texarkana. It’s so dark and flat and swMpy down there, sparse housing them along that highway. I’m really surprised I didn’t have a sighting, but my brother did. Mike’s and miles of forest around there. Thanks for all you do Wes.
