This is an interesting encounter from www.squatchable.com
The report is as follows: “my friends and I were camping near french meadows res in the sierra nevadas last august….. we were basicly messed with all night by something…. while it was still kinda light out I was foolin around kinda pokin fun at bigfoot callin and wood knockin…..it was mostly a loke to me….. not thinking anything would happen at that point I thought bigfoot was just used for entertainment purposes.. but later that night we heard something massive in the water near where we were camping…… it sounded at first like maybe it was a large animal crossing the creek but as it got closer we could hear steps like a human… like two feet…walking up the creek in our direction… then I stopped…. so an hour or so goes by and we thought nothing else of it……. then a twig breaks about 20 feet from where we were sleeping…… my big giant fearless pig hunting dog lunges at the sound gets about ten feet from me lets out a whimper and crawls into my sleeping bag…. at that moment my britches got messy!!!! I have never seen him cower to anything!!!!
I’m laying there with my .45 in my hand petrified at that point then comes the rocks!!! what ever it was decided it would be a good idea to throw rocks over our head onto the rocky creek bed.. then nothing!! about an hour later we hear footsteps walking in the forest outside our camp about 10-20 yards out as whatever was out there stopped walking it let out a deep grumble growl sound that shook my insides!!!! this went on throughout the night i slept clutching my hand cannon with one eye open for the rest of the night… I know that whatever was out there diddnt want us there!!! I’m going back as soon as the weather permits it to find out what that was!! I even let off a couple of rounds that night and whatever it was diddnt scare!! a human would have bolted along with every other animal I can think of!!! and it was so dark out there no human would have been able to navigate the terrain!!!so what was it?? I have to find out!!! its been eating at me for a while now!!”

Interesting note: I spoke to someone who was familiar with the “Mean ones” up in Alaska area. He mentioned that they would tear out trees and shove them back upside down into the ground. I thought this was significant because this info was all pre Internet. I heard it years ago and now I remember those details along with other info. The guy who told this to me back in the early 80’s didn’t have internet available . I hear it all on SC now as well as where other ‘mean ones” live. There is still a lot of info out there for folks just getting into this conversation. Very cool.

2. Be heavily armed and sober.
3. If things are going to get “interesting” get out.
4. Be sure that “its been eating at me for a while now!!” does not become “its been eating me for a while now!!”

And I would add a spotlight to that list according to people like Bob Garret they do not like extremely bright light and will make them slam on the breaks. If push comes to shove the extra few seconds could make a difference .

Rich A… Upside down trees have been reported in north west Canada for many years… They don’t know if they are marked for travels of squatches but they are strange!!. Amazing how far in the ground they are pounded…

What about not going back in? The chances that the second time around will net anything other than more laundry to do is slim. This story is the same as so many others – why not just leave them be and stay out of their turf? This going in with seven guys, all armed advice – seriously? Why not leave them alone?

I had a friend who made fun of me for believing in Sasquatch until he went hunting in upper Wisconsin. When he came back he pulled me to the side and told me of his encounter.
Some of my favorite encounters is when a skeptic, especially the hunter “big woodsmen”, who pick on anybody for believing in such “Nonsense” finds out they’re real.

They’re everywhere. Big Sur, even down to San Luis Obispo where I’m from originally. I would’ve never thought it but I’m happening upon encounter reports from all of the coastal ranges in Cali nowadays. Morro Bay, Fort Hunter Ligget/Arroyo Seco/Ventana Wilderness/Los Padres National Forest… etc etc. So many reports. Even down here in LA there are reports from behind my house in Pasadena and elsewhere. They’re everywhere. And I believe they’re subterranean by nature which is why things get so sporadic. Always keep your Spidey senses on full alert!

Same exact place, this is practically in the backyard of where we described the last encounter on episode 94!
We lived right in this area. Also this area is where the Mills.Creek screams where recorded at. There is also a blog last April where the local game warden describes seeing a squatch running in front of him on a dark desolate trail in these forests.
