SC EP:333 Bob Gimlin Tribute

It’s going to be a great weekend. I will be welcoming Bob Gimlin and Russell Acord to the show.

This will be a laid back conversation with Bob Gimlin about his life. I will be asking Bob how Roger Patterson would feel about the Sasquatch subject if he was alive today.

I’ll also if Bob will talk about his time with Evil Kenevil, and about the different adventures he has experienced throughout his life.

We will wrap up the conversation talking with Russell Acord about the International Bigfoot Conference 2017 (September 1-3 in Kennewick, Washington).

Hey Wes have you yourself (or Wood) ever had a sketch done of the behemoth blocking your guys’ exit that ridiculous night back in 2012? Or have you yourself ever come across an image that made you go, “Yeah… that’s it…”??

I was a little disappointed when you mentioned this was a non-Sasquatch-centric-show, but I listened and enjoyed!
    Thank you and well done.

Bob Gimlin is a living legend and American hero as well as being a Bigfoot Icon, thanks for documenting more of his stories for the future to enjoy, Wes!

Thanks Wes from bringing together a great weekend of podcasts. Bob Gimlin is truly a great man of integrity who’s life of adventure and experience in the outdoors has brought such a spirit to the world of historical significance. His account with Roger Patterson has withstood the test of time and is symbolic to an enduring faith in the honesty of human testimony of Sasquatch. There is so much Bob has contributed to our community and his presence has solidified The Patterson/Gimlin film to the public. Bob is really the John Wayne of Sasquatchery! Thank you Bob!

Man! I can’t believe a book hasn’t been written about Bob Gimlins life, I’d be first on the list to buy it.
So much to this man than Bigfoot…
while he’s alive, someone needs to pick his brain and write this all down

Bob Gimlin what a true american treasure. Enjoyed hearing stories about his life, outside of the film. For me iit added so much more to what all of us know as the Patterson/Gimlin film.

Bob have you ever thought about writing an autobiography? The wikipedia version doesn’t do you justice. I think your life stories add so much more credibility to that footage 50 years ago.

Awesome interview Wes, would love to hear more from Bob.

I sure like bob’s stories, been there a few times my self, in 1963 I went to New Mexico and was working for the i bar x ranch, and they came out with a new saddle with a fiberglass tree, and he said it was stronger then a wood tree, well I said I really don’t believe that so he said take it out and try it for 30 days and try it on some of them wild stags ( steers ) so I bought a new Lariat, and off we went, to make a long story short, the first time out I roped a stage and that saddle broke right in half and I went out through the sage brush and cactus, and I got bound into the saddle and couldn’t let go, so Sunny had to cut my rope, and about a month later I took the saddle back, well the owner of the store replaced my Lariat, and took the saddle back lol, He said well I guess they ain’t as good as they say, I told him I have been picking cactus out of my ass and legs for the past month, that was a lesson I wont forget.

Roger Patterson picked the right man for the job. I agree somebody should write a book better yet make a film about Bob’s life. real life tough as nails American icon. so many comments I agree with. I smiled and laughed through the whole interview. thank you Wes for your creativity it’s no wonder you’re the best show out there. to Use your own words “I can’t thank you enough. “

Terrific show wes, I just enjoy listening to Bob reflect back. Into his past. It really brought the real Bob out and for us all to enjoy and admire. Bob is a genuine honest man to be looked up to and to mirror in life. Thanks again wes for one of your best show you’d have to admit.
