Tonight I speak with David who had a terrifying encounter with several Sasquatch’s. The men were in a remote location in Colorado and were out shooting targets when a very large ape-like creature stepped out of the bushes and was growling, screaming and showing its teeth. David describes what the creature looked like and describes the bushes around him exploding with other creatures screaming at them. David took up a defensive position and started firing while his cousin ran back to get the truck. David explains what happened and what he experienced.

Yeah – this story reminded me of an uncle I had. He had the most outlandish stories, where he was always the hero.

I know what you mean. Wes, you were very supportive and always assuming honesty with confidence despite some probable embellishments. I could understand this being very emotional, but something about this one doesn’t pass the sniff test with regards to the witness. Still a good show!

A few things jumped out at me concerning that too ( loved my interview and interrogation supplemental courses I took at ‘In Service Training’ that we attended yearly in the P.D.!!!!!) , but short of having him sit in front of you and seeing signs of deceptive behavior, you take it at face value. Some people need the answers dragged out of them and aren’t great at retelling events, so maybe this guy is truly messed up by it…….hmmmm.

Agreed! I bet those courses would be extremely informative and practical! It would provide objective procedures to what most of us chalk up to gut instinct.

Yeah, it’s interesting to find out that when you recall from memory and your eyes look up, they look up and to their right, they are remembering something. There are so many visual cues, closed palms, open palms, crossed arms, etc.. So funny, I still base things on my ‘gut’, but have these other indicators as ‘back up’ for verification!!!

I have to admit I was thinking BS too in the beginning, but go back and listen to the fear in that mans voice. It gave me chills….maybe I’m gullible and an idiot, but I think he really went through something traumatic and isn’t dealing well with what he witnessed. I think whether he is sincere or not Wes handled the interview with compassion that this gentalmen clearly hadn’t been given until this point. Isn’t this what this show is about on this site? Letting people tell their story, what they witnessed without judging whether they saw what they say??? I don’t care if I’m wrong, but I heard an interview of someone struggling to deal with seeing something that wasn’t supposed to be real and reaching out to one of the few who will listen without making fun. I think Wes is a stand up guy and I’m sure he can spot BS pretty easy these days, and wouldn’t subject us or risk his rep on a fake story. With that said its not his style to judge because look what he’s been through! He listens, sincerely tries to help, and gives people a much deserved outlet. I think this is one of the best interviews to date! say what you want about me or my post, but it was hard to listen to this man have so much trouble dealing with the aftermath of seeing something that’s not supposed to be there, and no one will ever believe you. (Except a rare few that belong to this club that No one truly wants to be in) weather the event is true or not it doesn’t matter because if we judged everyone that spoke no one would come forward…that’s what Wes is trying so hard to change. Great show! Great job Wes!

You won’t find anyone here that will be critical of your post and I think you are right. I have no idea how I would feel with an encounter of that magnitude. I would probably end up like the snowmobile. I hope he still has a good relationship to the man that was with him.

They weren’t hunting…they were target shooting. More to the point..what experienced gun owner would refer to having multiple magazines for his AR-15? A semi-auto rife has *one* fixed magazine into which you can insert a clip of rounds. One does not carry extra magazines: one carries extra clips of ammo.

I agree Patrick. I have hunted my whole life and have never taken more than 20-30 rounds with me at a time. Each to their own I guess.

They headed 6 miles out to his property…then dropped off their snow machines….and lit a fire mid afternoon to go AWAY FROM THE FIRE TO START late afternoon shooting which in a northern latitude LIKE COLORADO means it’s getting dark at 1630 ish….and then they fired dissimilar weapons at targets?!?!….he said 6:30 it “was getting dark” …BS! 1800ish in winter IS DARK IN COLORADO….and “he looked through his scope”?? NVG? Thermal? They left their snowmobiles ON?? Why? 500 rounds/20 round mags = 25 mags….false…..AND drained their batteries knowing that their snow machine was their lifeline back to their truck?? No way…….I’m a 18 year SOF veteran…sorry folks I ppreciate the heartfelt support for his “trauma” but TONS OF THESE DETAILS DO NOT ADD UP ……his cadence “you know you know” and delivery is FISHY and insincere compared to 99% of the other interviews….Powder burns? Why?….barrel burns maybe but if he’s getting powder burns he has some odd shooting habits…….Sorry..think we’ve been had folks….”300 pound 7 ft guy…I mean 6’8″”…..SOUNDS LIKE COBBLED TOGETHER THIRD PERSON STORIES THAT HE READ OR FANTASIZED ABOUT…I CALL SHENANIGANS. False stories do a disservice to those of us that have had REAL PARANORMAL EXPERIENCES. I do appreciate the support from the community for him…but I think for whatever reason this guy is pulling one over on us…fishy

Social pressures to conform to what others do and think is a strong motivation to perpetuate the practice of arm chair grading of experiences that people share. None of us were there as eye witnesses reporting from the scene but we’re quick on the draw to call them out as a fake, a fraud and even worse. I believe people are affected by their encounters and then victimized a second time by negative ridicule and name calling for recounting it. That is what has to change. -Just my two cents
