Lori writes “I live in a remote part of Virginia, just a mile from West Virginia, I always joke and say about 5 miles from no where. It is a little place called Amonate, VA. The history of the place is it is a coal camp built in the 1920’s and now just a few people live here.
My husband’s has lived here all his life and has seen bigfoots since he was a child. And when he told me that I just thought he was messing with me. That was until one night I was on my way to work about 2:50am and I saw one on the side of the road. It tried to hide but I had already seen about and 8 foot being duck down back over the bank. All that was showing when I passed by was its head and it had to be about 2 feet tall. That was the first time and that was about 9 years ago. Since then I have seen it, about 5 more times. I have seen them at the railroad using the light at a power box to what appeared to me was eating.
See one a few years ago that was walking in the woods and it froze and throwed its arm over its head to look like a tree. I would guess it was trying to blend into the environment, because it was a red color and it was fall. Then one night on our way home we stopping because of an odd smell and there it was ten feet from my car on the side of the road. I am blind in one eye so my since of smell is very sensitive. So I have a very detailed description of the smell. It smelled like a wet dog, but it also smelled like when a person sweats and their skin sour’s kind of like you left your clothing in the washer to long. But the end smell was odd it was an ammonia smell. On Mother’s Day of this year I was following my husband on his motorcycle and it crossed in front of him and ran in the woods. I did not know that and got out of my car to ask what was going on, he said it just ran into the woods.
Well I just yelled hey, and walked back to my car. He started his bike and road off. I set there and heard it yell back at me hey, hey hey. Not human clear but I heard that and my daughter was with me and heard it also. We hit the gas and got out of there. They also come behind my house because there is a spring there. I have heard a mother and a child yell at each other and the mother get mad it. I am a mother and I could tell she was upset. But a few weeks ago my husband got stopped on the road home by one on his motorcycle. He cannot tell me how long he was there it just stood there trying to figure out what he was.”
