A couple was canoeing down the creek when they claim they heard a loud growl/scream about 50 to 100 yards further down stream from them. They decided to return to their car and leave the area. They stopped to rest at a rocky bank of the creek and the woman stated she heard a grunt. They found footprint impressions in the soft muddy creek bank that measured around 15 inches long.

While Sleeping in her car, a woman was woken around midnight by a noise outside the car. She could make out the shape of what she thought was a huge bear behind her car about 20 feet away next to trees. It was urinating for a very long time, and sounded like a farm cow, she watched silently as the “bear” stood straight up and resembled a man. The creature walked a huge circle around her car as if inspecting it for over 45 minutes. The next morning, she returned at daybreak, she found a huge ball of hair in the form of a tree, 25 feet from where she had her car parked. The hair was long, reddish brown, and matted, along with being smelly, like body odor, feces, and urine.

September 4, 2009 11 PM Seldom Seen Road near Loop Mountain
While driving home from Loop Mountain over a rise in the road, a male witness claims he saw what looked like what reminded him of a gorilla. The creature was estimated to be about 6 ½ to 7 feet tall, The color was a darker color, brown or black I’m not sure, it was dark. Weight was probably 225-250 LBS. Only saw the creature for a few seconds before driving by.

December 15, 2008 Butler, PA
Two men hunting witnessed a creature drinking from the creek. The creature suddenly stopped drinking and sniffed the air. The creature let out a loud roar before running off quickly into the forest. They described the creature as being over 7 foot tall, weighing over 500 lbs and covered in reddish brown hair. They also described a strong sulfur smell.

November 11, 2011 Outside of Westover, PA on route 36
A truck driver was driving down hwy 36 to get to Jonestown, PA. as he rounded the bend in the road, to his surprise he saw a creature standing in the road walking across to the other side. He came close to hitting the creature. It did not seem to be scared, but just kept walking across the road. The witness stated he knew it wasn’t a bear and at first thought it as a person in a costume. The more he thought about it the more he felt it was the real thing. The witness described the creature as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 200 lbs and covered in long light brown hair from head to toe, except for the face which appeared to be white.
